*Janice's POV*

The last couple days with Justin have been amazing. Even though we aren't technically dating, I feel like we are. He's the sweetest and most caring person I know. I feel like Paul and Lynn are always watching us though. I'm pretty sure they're just making sure we aren't doing anything other than kissing, which we aren't.

I think I might move back into my parent's house. I think it would be easier that way. Then Justin and I could have our own space. We wouldn't have to worry about Lynn and Paul's rules. Plus this could give me a chance to be independent.

How can I tell them that though? I don't want them to think I won't come around anymore. Of course, I'll come around. Probably every single day. Especially with James still here. I'll just say it. I mean I am eighteen, of course I want to be on my own. I have a job, a car and now I want to live on my own. I work at the General Store as a waitress.

Yes, I do have my trust fund but I don't want to live off of my father's money. I'll use it for college but that's it. I won't use it for anything else.

I sat in my bedroom reading a book from my legendary collection when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." It's probably Justin. I put my bookmark in my book to save my place. The door opened and there stood the man that has my heart.

"Hey babe." He smiled at me.

"Hey J." I smiled back at him. He closed the door a little bit, but left it cracked. One of Paul and Lynn's rules.

"Whatcha doin, beautiful?" He asked me when he plopped on my bed.

"Reading." I held up my book.

"Hmm what is this?" He examined the book. "I've never seen this book before." He told me.

"You should read it." I told him.

"Maybe I will." He nodded as he still examined the book.

"So what are you up to today?" I asked him.

"Nothing really. I might write a song or two." He shrugged.

"Do you have anything completed?" I asked him. He told me that at night all he does is write.

"Yeah." He nodded.

"Can I hear it?" I smiled at him.

"I don't know." He sighed and looked down.

"Babe, you're going to need someone to tell you if it's good or not, which of course it's probably amazing." I told him.

"It's not that." He shook his head.

"Then what is it?" I frowned.

"It's about," He paused and sighed. "Britney." He finished.

"What about Britney?" I nervously asked him. Does he still love her? Does he still have feelings for her?

"Just about how she cheated on me. It's called Cry Me A River since those were the last four words I said to her before I kicked her out of my house." He explained to me.

"Oh." I slowly nodded my head.

"Is it okay that I wrote a song about her?" He asked me.

"Yeah, of course. I mean it's not like you still have feelings for her." I nodded.

"Of course not. I hate her guts." He chuckled. I laughed and squeezed his hand.

"If you don't want to me to hear it, it's okay. I understand." I reassured him. He stayed quiet for a couple seconds before speaking.
