After a few more hours of running, the kakushi made it to Amaya-san's estate. I tried to tell them I could've walked by myself to Amaya-san an hour ago, but they refused.

"Thank you again for taking me all the way here, is there any way I could repay?" I asked.

"No it's fine. Have a good day." The kakushi said before running off. Guess they aren't comfortable being around demons. Reasonable.

I walked calmly into the estate, but internally I was getting extremely excited. After all, its has been months since I've last her.

Went to the front door, knocking three times and waited for her to open.

After three minutes, Amaya-san opens the front door. She froze for a moment, before smiling and embracing me in a hug. With no hesitation, I returned the hug.

"I miss you, Amaya-san! I have so much to tell you!" I said, excited to tell her about my journey.

Amaya-san continued to smiled and nodded. "Come in, child. Let's have dinner, yes?"

"Of course!"

As we ate dinner, well her more eating as I don't really do a lot of human food, I told her all about what I've gone through. From the missions themselves to experiences with my newfound friends.

"I'm glad. I didn't have to worry about you after all."

"What do you mean, Amaya-san?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

"Well, you naturally a shy person. So I worried you'd have a difficult time making friends and allies. Especially if other demon hunters automatically marked you as a threat. But, after hearing about those four, I guess my worry was for naught."

"Ah...thank you Amaya-san...you know, uhm.....you're like a mother to me." I meekly said, looking to the ground. "Back when I was human...my parents weren't the best. They treated me as their personal slave, and would keep my isolated, only letting me go to the nearest town when we had to sell wood. I never really talked to another human except for my parents, so my social skills were lacking." I said, my gaze turning sorrowful as I thought about the unjustified deaths of my parents. "But, you were the first person I met who took time to care for me properly. And I thank you so much for that. I.....I'm really glad I met you, Amaya-san!" I cried out, tears beginning to run down my face.

Amaya-san eyes widened for a brief moment, before softening. She stood up, walking over to me. She placed a hand on my shoulder.

"(Y/n), ever since a I saw you, I knew you were someone special. Granted, some were for your demon abilities. But, also for your endearing personality to influence me to take you in as my student. I am truly grateful to have taught you my skills. You were like the daughter I've never had."

I looked at Amaya-san, doing nothing for a moment before suddenly sobbing.

"Amaya-san......!" I cried in happiness, hugging her.

It's been a week since I've came over to Amaya-san's estate. Since then, things have mostly been peaceful. She helped me train some more, giving me constructive criticism on my mistakes and just bonding with me in general. I remember a few days ago we decided to try painting together. We grabbed all the needed painting supplies and decided to paint a flower that was in her garden. Needless to say, our paintings were horrible but gave us a fun laugh.

But, I knew I had to go back to a Tanjiro and the others soon.

It was early morning on Saturday and Amaya-san and I were at the entrance gate of her estate.

"I'm glad to have been able to be with you, (y/n)-san." Amaya-san said, smiling.

I nodded. "Yeah, I promise to visit again soon! But sadly I can't stall my demon hunter responsibilities any longer. And I...miss Tanjiro and the others."

"Alright my child. May you and your friends be safe in the dangers you may come across. If you even dare to get killed, I won't hesitate to bring you back and kill you again myself." Amaya-san jokes.

I chuckled slightly, sweat dropping. "Haha...nice joke, Amaya-san..."

"Well I can't hold you any longer, have a safe trip to the Butterfly Estate. And be respectful towards Shinobu-san and the others."

I nodded, turning away and waving goodbye to Amaya-san.
