(Eddies pov)
"It's nothing, I must have fallen too." He tells me.
"Oh." I smile and I look up at him. "Then I guess we're both clumsy"
He lets out a small chuckle.
"Yeah... I guess we are."
We both stare at each other with our dumb smiles on our faces. And we didn't even realize how close we were. Our faces were only only inches apart. Once I realized this I quickly turn away and I have butterflies in my stomach.
I clear my throat. "Should I go home or is it okay if I stay the night?"
"You can stay" he says and sets me up a small bed for the night.
I lay down and close my eyes.
(Richies pov)
I felt disgusting. I just lied to my best friend. I could still taste the lie on my tongue. I tried to stop thinking about it and I fell asleep.
I shot straight up into a sitting position. I had gotten wakes up to some sort of crying/ screeching sound. I practically leap out of my bed and I run over to Eddie who's tossing and turning on the floor. Having a nightmare. I get on my knees and shake him awake.
"Eddie! Eds!! It's okay. It's just a dream. Calm down" I tell him and he stops tossing and turning. "I'm right here." I say as I brush a piece of hair out of his face with my hand. [A/N: ayyy we got a boreo moment right here lol going back to the story now] he slowly regains consciousness.
(Eddies pov)
"Richie?" I ask. He was leaning over me.
"Yeah?" He replies with a smile.
"Nothing I was just making sure it was you." I say, "I had the worst dream-"
"I know." He says. I sit up and I hug him, it takes him a second to realize what's happening before he hugs back. We stay there for a few seconds. In the middle of the night. With only each other to hold.
It's a short chapter I'm so sorry 🙁🙁 I still hope you enjoyed it though 🙂
