2 Kings 16 was my chapter for today and it was kind of all over the place for me. But verses 5 through 9 made something VERY clear to me.

When I read and searched it a little more it basically said that ; when we're in a place of distress it's easier for us to go any where BUT to God. Our parents , friends, family. When in reality we should first and foremost ALWAYS first run to God when we have a problem or in a place of distress. And I know our human minds don't always automatically switch over to that mind set,  that's okay. But we shouldn't forget to go to Him when we sometimes need him most too.

Then I skipped a little to verses 17 to 20 and if you look closer to what happened with Ahaz and the temple you see that; when those who have had a ready passage to the house of the Lord, turn it another way to PLEASE their neighbors , they are going down hill to ruins. We shouldn't be living our lives for fame and fortune and to PLEASE others. But rather for the Glory of God.  I know in this day and age it's a little more difficult since all we really want is to fit in and not be noticed as 'weird' or an 'outcast' but why can't we be 'outcasts' and 'weird' for Jesus ?

My parents taught my siblings and I from a very young age that it's better to be a 'square ' for Jesus than not living for Him at all. Does that make sense? Let me rephrase , it's better to FIT into the plan God has for our lives than to not fit in at all .

"Don't confrom to the world." Romans 8 . Go read it please. It's worth it I promise.

Have a great day everyone. I love you all ❤❤❤
