The Ugly Truth

LOU's POV:

By the time we had reached my door, it was midday and Nolan's pain that was numbed over by his fear started to come through all at once. He continually whinged the whole way. I honestly could care less at this point. He helped me the first time we properly met and he deserves someone to help him even though I'll need him to do as I say soon. All this messing around will be over and done with. I forcefully kicked the door open and placed Nolan on the nearest black lounge. I crouched down to his level.
"Stay here. Don't touch anything. If you touch anything, I'll make you do extra work. Got it?" I sternly looked into his eyes and began to walk off expecting no reply through all his pain.
"Does it look like I'm going anywhere, Lou?" He growled from a far. He's a good natured doll. It's always funny to see or hear him get angry. I rushed to the storage room and searched for the med-kit I always kept in a small briefcase with a  simple sticker labelling it. I noticed it's peeling sticker through the mountain of unusable objects and as I reached for it, I tripped over a squishy object that squeaked.
"Whoa! Jesus.. Even the old, useless plushies are turning against me.." I whispered to myself and laughed a little through the painful memory. I turned around to see what it was and there led a small brown bear plush with one pink button eye sewn in and the other half fallen out stuck on a thread and where the mouth should be, there was a big smile. I picked up the plush and turned it around in my hands clearly confused on how it got into my house. I put it under my arm and took the briefcase downstairs where Nolan sat, face in hands and hands in tears. "Nolan? Are you alright?" Concerned, I rushed to his side.
"No, Lou. None of this would have happened if I wasn't so stupid and nice to everyone.." He cried through muffled tears. I handed him the bear and almost immediately, he took it from my hands and squeezed it. I opened the med-kit box and grabbed the tools I needed.
"Just squeeze the bear tighter when it starts to hurt, if it gets too bad to bEAR, just say. Okay?" I reassured him with the obvious, bold pun. He gave me a smile to tell me it was okay to start stitching and so I began.

NOLAN's POV:

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" I whined.
"Nolan, I've bEARly even started yet!" Lou laughed.
"Just finish it off already!" I squealed. After a few minutes of agonising pain, the stitches were complete. I sat there, eyes squinted shut and squeezing the bear with all my strength.
"Earth to Nolan? I think I stitched a nerve or something.." Lou mumbled as he poked me on the nose twice. I opened one eye as if to ask if everything was done.
Lou placed his hand on my chin and moved my face around treating me as a baby. "Aww, wittle Nowan is wowwied about his pwetty wittle face!"
I couldn't help but frown at him. He never treats me like my age, whatever my age is..
"Quit it, Lou. I hate pain. I can't stand it." I pulled my knees up to my face and hugged the bear again which caused Lou to remove his hand from my now sensitive face. He looked down on me with pity for a few seconds then looked down at me the same way he did days before, shame.
"Did you want tea? Coffee?" He blankly said as he wandered to his kitchen which was barely conjoined with the room I was currently in.
"Tea please. Thanks for helping me out and.." I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Sorry for being rude, I guess."
Although he wanted to keep his professional wall up, I couldn't help but notice that he let a smile creep across his face. I sat and stared at him at work like a dog waiting for it's dish. Now that I paid more attention to him, I could see how fragile his skin looked. If he sat still for hours, someone could confuse him for a porcelain doll and not some regular doll.
I soon heard his angelic voice mumbling the words to my ringtone. I guess we have the same taste in music. No wonder I prefer his performance over Imperfection's performances.

"..i ain't never been one to miss, don't plan on starting tonight.. I think I could be the perfect fit, in your life.." Lou mumble sung. Out of no where, he grabbed the cups and started a whole mini performance right in front of me.
"You're looking for love. You say nothings good, good enough. You've been broken like-" He threw the cups at the table aiming them perfectly enough for them to land without falling or breaking then grabbed my hand and pulled me close.
"-way too much. Let me fix you baby." He laughed and twirled me around.
"Lou? Whoa!" I yelped, dizzy. He let go and shrugged.
"Cause you're way too up-tight." He gave me a side glance as if he wanted me to join in. I folded my arms and smiled, happy to watch. He smiled knowing exactly what line came next. "You keep it on the low but you know your body wants mine."
My eyes bulged out of their sockets and I felt my face burn up with embarrassment. "I'm done with this bullcrap!" I turned to walk back to the sofa when I felt Lou grab my hand and pulled me into his routine again.
"Why you tryna go when you know I won't waste your time? Yeah." I clumsily danced along as he tried to guide me. Fed up, I tried to walk off and unexpectedly felt nothing to pull me back. "If you don't feel the difference when you walk away.. Well, you're gonna learn today." I stopped in my tracks. I felt butterflies in my stomach and my face was red. I didn't understand why his actions were causing this reaction now and not before. I obviously knew what line was next and knew what to do.
"I'll show you the difference, baby." We sung in unison and he twirled around in style. He began to laugh his socks off. Whatever he just did, I loved every second of it.
