Luna

"Do you have everything ready?" Vi asked as she looked at the now empty room across from her's.

"Yes, I believe so." I nodded, ready to go to the airport, suitcase in hand and backpack hanging from one of my shoulders.

"If midterms weren't coming up, I'd honestly go with you," she mumbled. "I'll miss you so much, Luna," she whispered before wrapping her arms around my petite frame tightly.

"Vi," I whispered against her shoulder with a fond smile. I couldn't help but tighten the hug, knowing I wouldn't see my roommate and friend anytime soon, though I hoped that wasn't the case.

"You better call me! I want to meet your family. Maybe I'll make a pit-stop to Europe before returning home," she stated as she let go of me with a bright smile.

"Ah, you should know that you'll always be welcome at my house. I'd love for you to stay with us." I nudged her side with grin. "Though, as much as I would love to stay here and plan our next meeting with you, I need to go." I frowned, grabbing my suitcase handle. "Thank you for everything Vi. I love you."

"Ugh, my little Luna!" She exclaimed before giving me a side-hug. "I love you too." She kissed the top of my head.

"One more thing," I told her, stopping mid-way to the front door.

"Anything."

"Can you... take care of El? I never got to say goodbye nor spend as much time with her as I'd hoped. I fear life will pass her by, all too focused on her studies and all, so can you tell her to live a little, remind her? Or simply check up on her, just to see if she finds enjoyment outside of writing, please." I smiled softly at the thought of my favorite writer.

"Of course. You know, she's my friend too," Violetta said and rolled her eyes at my words. "But you can count on me." She ruffled my hair with a close-lipped smile as tears gathered in her eyes.

"I know," I answered, returning her grin as I pulled her in for another hug.

"Okay," she sniffled as we let go of each other. "C'mon, you're going to be late," she mumbled under her breath with a solemn tone I hadn't heard from her before, walking me towards a taxi. "Call me when you get there." She hugged me one last time, before I left.

Suitcase in the trunk, head hung low, teary eyes and a moving car.

As I passed by some landmarks on my way to the airport, I relished the sight. My fingers instinctively ran over the few droplets of water that decorated the window as rain pattered over the roof of the car. I smiled to myself, thinking of all the people I met here and all I learned, not only about the culture but about myself, too. I couldn't help but feel like a part of my heart will stay here. Albeit I only lived here for a few months, the people made me feel at home.

And so as I gaze at the scenery out the window, even if it's the every day traffic, I let out a small smile.

South Korea, I'll miss you.
