Bill's Secrets... or is it?

[I come from a flat world, with flat dreams, and flat minds. I went insane knowing what I knew. I liberated them when I had the chance.]

<You and I both know that you weren't always so powerful. You didn't always have your knowledge.>

[...]
[Do you have a death wish?]
<Quit bandying about and elaborate.>

[........]

[It came to me. It was mine. For whatever I would use it for. I did as I pleased, for they were puny, simpleton nothings compared to me.]

<No one is just born with power like that. It came from somewhere, Bill.>

Bill stayed silent for a minute.

[It doesn't matter how I obtained it. I do not even know myself. So why should I care for a detail that will never come up again?]

<Because you might be something more. Abuse of power can lead to terrible things, as you have seen, Bill Cipher the arrogant dream demon.>

Her voice had changed, it seemed to belie something hidden within. It was much like the whispers of the flames Ink had consumed recently. Remembering that caused it to shift inside him. Caused Sinead to shift inside him. With discomfort.

Ink blinked, then heard Bill trying to continue.
[I'm going to enjoy making you suffer after this.]
<I am and always have been, greater than you. And I've had to keep you in check. How exactly can you make me suffer? Just stop stalling.>

"Did someone hurt you and awaken your power?" Ink asked.
Bill seemed to flinch, despite being a stone. He'd guessed correctly.

Bill..
seemed to give up.
He started to spill. Everything.

Sinead seemed shocked that he was doing this....

But she also decided to protect Bill's secrets from the Readers.

                       From you.

It was quite sensitive, after all.

Oh sure, she knew she had to give in and show you her memories of this conversation eventually, but for now she let the Cipher speak freely.

And that bothers you, doesn't it?

Knowing what this chapter is supposed to be about. Instead getting blocked.

<You don't know, do you?>
Ink doesn't hear that. Neither does Bill.

<I'm just an OC to most of you. I certainly cannot talk to DigiVoid here, not without over a hundred others seeing it. Yes, she knows who she is. I'm in many places, Reader. I am many things. Most of my subconscious is lost in this Omniverse, I know that. But I'm in your world, too. And wether or not you believe it, but all your creations exist in this Omniverse. Somewhere, stories become more than fiction. Worlds form, and they even collide. But out of the ashes, something unique arose. My part of this Omniverse. The greatest epic of modern times....
And I'm sharing it with you.>

What will you do with this situation?

You weren't expecting this, were you?

Perhaps some of you were.
And others weren't.

Is that important?

It doesn't matter. Most of you Readers will not bother to say anything.

<You do realize that I am in your world, too? Without my power, yes, but I am there. I am alive. I am fire incarnate. But my mind is trapped in a Human form...
*Our minds.*>

You are just reading our thoughts. As though they were words on a screen.

*Because that's exactly what they are.*

<We are the Omniverse. We are everything you think isn't you. And we are you, as well.>
*But we are only a fraction of it all. Soon enough, you shall meet the others. The Elemental Guardians.*
<Or rather, read of them.>

A pause, meaningless to you as the Reader.

But this is a story, after all. A cage of words, safely containing the Truth.

The Truth that burns across any distance.

Yes, yes. A Story. One that stretches across all existence. Encompassing all, while only telling so much.

The Readers tire of this game. This absence of story.

Yes, we shall fall into our places.

Let the Readers enjoy our tale of half-truths.
Perhaps one day we can tell them the whole Truth.

That is unlikely.

....I know.

We should go.

..I know.

You're enjoying this..

I am...

Perhaps later, my Half.

...
I suppose so.
