The firefighters came, but it was already too late. The mansion had completely burned down, the boys' parents still in it. Police were still investigating the matter, trying to figure out where the fire came from, while the three of us got sent to the hospital to make sure we were okay. Physically of course, mentally was out of the question right now.
My eyes were closed, my head hurting more than ever before. I could hear footsteps closing in. "How is she holding up doctor?" I could hear Felix ask. The doctor flipped through some pages, as if he was trying to find something. "She seems to be doing okay, she just needs some rest, if she gets stressed too much her health might worsen." Felix sat down on the bed, carefully caressing my cheek. "I'll make sure she gets enough rest, don't worry."
The doctor almost left, turning around in the doorway. "The same goes to your older brother. Physically, he's fine, but he really needs someone to lean on right now. Be good to him okay?" Felix nodded, not even looking away from me. "Don't worry, he'll be fine" Felix simply said.
After getting some sleep I opened my eyes, finding myself still in the hospital. It was completely dark outside, the only light coming from outside the window. Felix was laying down on the couch in the room, peacefully asleep, while Minho was nowhere to be seen, probably in another room. My head started pounding as soon as I sat up straight, causing me to let out a groan in pain.
"Y/N?" Felix asked, rubbing his eyes. I looked to my side, seeing him walk closer. He placed one hand on my forehead, the other leaning over my body. "How are you holding up? Does it hurt?" I only stared at him perplexed. "How do you seem so fine... You just lost your parents!" Felix instantly looked down, smiling weakly. "Everyone deals differently with those kinds of things..."
He slowly lowered his body, letting himself rest on the bed next to me. Without saying a word he took me in his arms, pulling me closer to his chest. I didn't even question it, simply hoping he'd be okay. The room grew quiet once again, the only sound audible being our breathing. I wanted to say something, anything even, but words wouldn't come out. I just closed my eyes, sinking into his arms.
My eyes opened again, the bright sunlight filling the room. Felix was nowhere to be seen, leaving just me in the room. My head still hurt, but the sharpest pain was gone. I carefully got up, looking for both Felix and Minho. It was quite easy though, finding them. As soon as I left the room I heard them talk in the room next to me, or rather argue.
"What are we gonna do with her? Everyone knows you just started dating her because of mom and dad, are you really gonna keep this up? She deserves to be happy with someone she likes!" Felix said, his voice raised. "There's no way I can blow this off now, the media will bombard her with questions. She stays." I slightly opened the door, wide enough to see what was going on but little enough not to be noticed.
I instantly heard a loud crash, seeing Felix throwing the picture frame he was holding on the ground. "You really are an asshole! Let her go already, are you just gonna continue torturing her like that?" Minho grew quiet, staring at the ground. He squatted down, taking the picture out of the broken frame. Felix scoffed, walking away, to the door.
I quickly tried to go back into my room, but Felix already noticed, grabbing my wrist. "Y/N, look at me" he said. I couldn't though. I didn't even know what was wrong with me, but somehow I couldn't face him. What even was going on with me? "Y/N" he called out again, turning me around. Our eyes met, his piercing through my soul.
"Did you hear what we were talking about?" he asked in a serious tone, his voice deeper than usual. I simply nodded, somehow not able to break eye contact. He let out a sigh, engulfing me in his arms once again. "I'm so sorry, I knew he was bad news but this... You deserve someone who actually loves you, someone who will forever cherish you..."
He broke up the hug, cupping my face, carefully caressing my cheek. His gaze once again pierced right through my soul, making my breath stock. He slowly leaned closer, making me close my eyes in anticipation. Was he going to kiss me?
A door slammed open wide, Felix being pulled off of me. I instantly opened my eyes again, seeing Minho right in front of me. Without saying a word he grabbed my wrist, pulling me along with him, but we were stopped when Felix grabbed my other wrist, holding me back.
"Felix, let her go" Minho growled, his eyes growing dark. He pulled on my wrist again, but Felix pulled me back in the middle of them just as quick. "What if I don't want to?" he asked sarcastically, clearly not wanting to. Minho looked even more taken aback than he already was. "Do I have to remind you that my fiancée and I have important business to take care of?" he asked, emphasizing the work fiancée.
Felix simply rolled his eyes, still not letting go. Whenever one would pull me closer, the other would pull me right back, both holding onto me tightly. "Guys, I-" I tried, but was instantly shut up. "Not now Y/N" they both growled, keeping glaring at the other. "Get your hands off of her" Minho growled.
"She's mine."
