Why can I go stupid for this lady?

I crossed my legs as I watch the stylist fixing my hair with her blower. My mere reflection in the mirror shows a strong complexion. Tonight, is a usual night for me. Mom really planned well my world tour. Assuring every good to it.

"Dylan, you need to prepare." Lenard announced.

Malalim akong bumuntong hininga.

For my almost 17 years old of existence, this things was my common routine. Music gigs, dance practice, interviews, talk shows and concert. As a popstar, life is hard. Lalo na kapag ina-ambush ka ng mga paparazzi.

"Dylan! Are you dating Alliyah Parrish?"

"How's your world tour, Dylan? Is it well?"

"Dylan! Dylan! Is it true that you have an affair with a Danish socialite?"

Panay ang sunod sa akin ng mga paparazzi. My bodyguards is helping me to walk through the annoying media. I was just arrived from my concert last night at Berlin, Germany, yet here I am. Ambushed by bunch of annoying people.

The camera flashes very aggressively. Halos hindi na ako makalakad ng maaayos dahil sa mga nakarahang na media. May mga fans namang halos sunggaban ako. Some of them were talking pictures or videos with me.

As much as I want to be annoyed, Lenard always telling me not to be rude. Baka raw masira ang career ko kapag pinakita ko sa kanila ang masama kong ugali.

Well yeah. I am not a good person. I am rude and sometimes obnoxious when things is out of my will. Besides, I am Dylan Del Vega. The popstar and heir of a big time Real Estate Company. People only want me because of those luxurious things wrapped around me.

So why acting like a good prince charming?

"No one's gonna stop me, Diana!" Dad growled the moment I step in at the study room.

Natigil ako sa tangkang pagpasok. My hand left hanging at the door knob.

"Bakit, Jacob? Bakit hinahanap mo ang babaeng 'yun!?" Sigaw ni Mom. "After all these years, I did everything to win you heart! Tapos ano!?" Tuluyan ng nabasag ang boses ni mom. "Si Kasandra pa rin ang mahal mo?"

Kasandra? Hearing my mother's cry broke my heart. I maybe known for being rude and arrogant, but, I still have a heart. I love my mother so much. She's the most amazing woman in the world. But, hearing her broken, wants me to throw a hate to my father!

How dare him!

"Jacob... labing anim na taon na ang nakalipas. May ibang pamilya na si Kasandra," si Mom. "Stop chasing her. May mga anak na tayo. W-Why don't you focused to Dylan o-or Julia?"

A long paused before my father spilled the most heartbreaking word I ever heard.

"We have a daughter, Diana. May anak kami ni Kasandra." Dad announced. Breaking into tiny pieces my mother's heart. "At sa ayaw at sa gusto mo. Hahanapin ko ang anak ko. Hahanapin ko si Kasandra at ang anak namin."

Everything I heard to my father seems to triggered me to find that woman.

Umalis ako sa Maynila. Iniwan ko ang buhay ko sa malaking syudad upang hanapin ang babaeng kinababaliwan ng aking ama. He had a daughter with that woman. Kung ganoon, he cheated to my mother. He hurt her. Both physical and emotional.

I hate him more than Perseus hates his father, Zeus.

Naimbestiga ako. Nalaman ko sa mga detective na binayaran ko, na sa Batanes nakatira ang babaeng nagngangalang Kasandra Perez. Ayon sa impormasyong nakalat nila, byuda raw si Kasandra. Namatay daw ang asawa niya dahil sa isang sunog. May dalawa silang anak. Sunog ang kalahati ng mukha niya dahil sa sunog nangyari, sampung taon na ang nakalipas.
