Quick note: Not sure if I've used this term in the book yet, but 'The Order of Divinity' refers to the Gods and their system. Just thought I'd drop that here in case it confused any of you. This chapter has some more details about the Order, just like the scene with Four and Error  in 'Mr Monochrome and his Misplaced Brother' , since you guys said you wanted some more info :)

Enjoy the chapter!

Life's house was much like any other version of the place. Except maybe... even nicer?

"I'd like you all to get showered and put on some clean clothes, I can't have you getting blood all over the place," Life said, stopping them all at the door and briefly scanning the skeletons up ad down, "And Cross will go first, he's the most blood-soaked." Cross nodded, stepping forwards. "The bathroom's just down the hall, if you leave your clothes just outside the door, I'll collect them in a minute. I'll also leave some fresh ones in their place." She gave him her signature, warm smile.

"Thanks..." Cross muttered, disappearing down the hall.

"And the rest of you, follow me to the kitchen, please." She turned and walked the opposite way to Cross, going left into a room with a fireplace, an arm chair, a bookshelf, a table and chairs, multiple plants around the room, and a soft-looking sofa opposite the armchair. The skeletons followed her through the room and into another: the kitchen.

"I imagine you'll all have some minor injuries you didn't feel out there. Once the adrenaline wears off, you'll likely all find things you didn't know you had. I'd like you to all either inform me or clean the wounds with salt water, no matter how small they are. You're covered in the blood of others, that poses a risk of infection and contamination." Life reached into the cupboard, pulling out a container of salt, and getting a bowl out too.

"I'm sure we're all fine." Error said, raising a hand to stop her.

"No, she's right, Error. It's best to keep any wounds clean," Dream said firmly, "If there's anything I can help with, Life, I'm a trained nurse."

Life raised her eyebrows in mild suprise. "Are you? That's very useful. Yes, if you could prepare a saline solution, please."

Dream smiled back at her. "Of course."

"Is anyone hungry? I can-"

"Yes." Reaper cut her off.

"Same." Ink muttered.

"Have you eaten at all today?" Life asked.

"No." They all chorused.

Life gave them a disappointed look. "Low blood sugar is not good for running around and getting in fights. Or for anything else, really."

They all went silent, as if in shame.

"I'll make you all something in a minute." Her normal smile reappeared on her face.

"Why are you being so nice?" Error asked almost sceptically.

All Life did in answer to that was give Error one of her warm smiles.

"I..." Glitch suddenly began stuttering, "I feel...kind of weak..." His legs gave out, and Error, being closest, jumped forwards to catch him.

"Woah, you okay?" Error asked, helping him to sit down on the floor.

Life crouched down beside the two. "The nullification gun must have left him very weak. Dream?" She called out to the golden skeleton.

"Yes?" He answered, apppearing next to her.
