57 | Room of Requirement

On Wednesday afternoons, Angelina Johnson appeared with the news that Harry, Ron and Hermione had found a place to train and tonight everyone would meet. It would take place on the seventh floor, opposite the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy, teaching trolls how to ballet. Marley Macmillan, who didn't understand the benefit of meeting thirty students in the school corridor, nevertheless agreed. She was convinced the three had invented something.

She spent the afternoon writing homework, and as soon as the clock struck seven-thirty in the evening, the five friends left Gryffindor's common room and walked quietly to the tapestry in question. When they reached the hall, they saw Noen Black and Brooklyn Ray swirling around the wall. Marley looked at the twins and wondered if they would laugh or ask them what was going on.

After the two stopped spinning, a door began to materialise in front of them. The group rushed to them, and Marley met the gaze of Noen Black, who smiled briefly at her and walked in with Brooklyn. They followed and after they entered Marley gasped. They were located in a spacious room that was equipped according to their needs. There were even soft pillows, armchairs and dummies that were used as someone to apply what was learned.

"I've read about this place." she whispered. "This is the Room of Requirement. It shows only really when you need it and it is equipped for the needs of the person, who'll use it."

"You sound like Hermione." said George and Marley didn't know if she should take it as an compliment or an insult. She said nothing and saw that Harry, Ron and Hermione were already there, sitting in the beanbags and waiting. A minute later Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood and Ginny Weasley came in.

"Hey, Marley, I'm glad we're finally doing it." said happily Noen Black, looking at her. She glared at him with a soft smile.

"Yes, the Room of Requirement is a really good idea in my opinion." she nodded, looking amazed at the spacious room. Brooklyn Ray was standing quietly next to Noen, without talking but Marley decided to be polite and outgoing. "You must be Brooklyn, right? I'm Marley. It's nice to meet you."

"Brooklyn." the blonde girl smiled and they shook hands. "Nice to meet you too. Noen has talked about you so much. And only good stuff."

Marley just laughed and Noen joined the girls. Meanwhile, the other members of their little society had come - Dean Thomas, Ernie Macmillan, Hannah Abbot, Zacharias Smith, Parvati and Padma Patil, Alicia Spinnet, Katie Bell, Lavender Brown, Cho Chang and her friend Marietta Edgecombe, the Creevey brothers, Susan Bones, Anthony Goldstein, Terry Boot and Justin Flinch-Fletchley.

After they gathered, everyone sat on either the beanbags, or the armchairs. Harry stood up and the group looked at him.

"First, I think it's better to make up a name of our group. So nobody would understand when we talk about it." he said.

"The Ministry are dickheads." mumbled Fred but Marley hit him with her foot.

"Don't be silly, Fred. No one would call this group like that. But nice try." she adjusted and smiled at him but he stayed with a grimace on his face.

"Well, maybe we can call it... uhm, actually no idea." Hermione was looking at the piece of parchment, checking out if everyone who had attentded the meeting in Hog's Head were here now.

"How about Defense Association?" suggested suddenly Cho Chang. She wasn't sitting really far from Marley and the twins but twenty-eight pairs of eyes glanced at her. "The DA for short, so nobody knows what we're talking about?"

"Yeah, the DA's good." confirmed Ginny, giving Cho a slight nod of her red-haired head. "But let's make it stand for Dumbledore's Army, because that's Ministry's worst fear, isn't it?"
