February 3rd, 1999
This is my first time writing in this journal...I still think this is dumb but whatever.
Hermione and I discussed our dreams and nightmares after class and went on a short walk after. We discussed setting a date for our wedding but we couldn't decide. Perhaps you can help us with that?
I'm going to let her take control of planning...she can have whatever she wants. I'll still be there for everything though otherwise, she'll jinx me into next year.
I hope she lets me help choose food. That's the best part.
I don't really know what to write in this.
Bye.

Draco hates this journal idea McGonagall had given them, he didn't know what to write at all and he felt quite silly doing it.

"Hey, Hermione...do you want to head to supper now?" He asks her, tucking his journal away

"Yes! I'm so hungry I could bite my arm off." She says, hopping up off of her bed

They walked to the Great Hall together in a comfortable silence, their hands brushing every so often and parted as they reached the Great Hall and went to their usual seats they always sat in.

Draco took a seat next to Blaise while Hermione took a seat next to Ginny

"Hey, mate. This was on your place. Tried to open it figuring it was sweets that I could steal from you but there's some kind of charm on it. There's also a letter from your mother here...good luck with that one." Blaise tells him, handing Draco the small box

Ignoring his mother's note for now, he opens the box and pulls out a small note, realizing this is from Alexandra

Draco,
I know I'm giving you this a little late but I just wanted to apologize for overstepping and...almost throwing myself at you. I only figured you were unhappy with Hermione and was trying to remedy that. I hope we can forget what happened and try to be friends. My mom sent me this from the States. She owns a bakery and her treats are so good. I thought you might enjoy it!

Alexandra (or Alex)

Placing the card to the side, Draco pulls out a small cake, sets it on his plate, and looks at Blaise

"Can I have that?" He asks looking at the cake longingly

If Blaise wouldn't have asked for it, Draco would have given it to him...but to piss him off, Draco picks it up and takes a bite of it, smirking at Blaise

"You're so mean to me." Blaise pouts, grabbing a cob and taking an angry bite out of it

"It was meant for me anyway, Blaise. Honestly. You forgot to put butter on your cob. Stop whingeing and eat." Draco says, rolling his eyes and putting his cake down in the box to finish later before grabbing a cob and slab of butter and filling his plate with all the food that surrounded him and continuing conversation with Blaise until Pansy showed up

"So we've decided we're going to get married on April first!" Pansy tells them excitedly, taking a seat next to Blaise

"April first? As in April Fools Day?" Blaise asks with a full-mouth

"Finish chewing and swallowing your food before speaking, Blaise. Honestly...and yes. April Fools Day. Ron thought it was funny and a good tribute to his brother...I thought it was funny because this whole law thing is a joke. It's perfect!" Pansy tells them before filling her plate, causing Draco to roll his eyes

"Luna and I have decided sometime in April also. I'm shocked you two are getting married before us...what about you Draco?"

"We haven't decided yet. Probably near the end of the year though." He says
