Lily stood frozen. Stunned that her father would chose to chose to go to her sister, Beatrice for help. She abandoned Marilyn as a baby because of how she looked. Lily and Herman took it upon themselves to raise Marilyn as their own daughter. In spite of how she looked, they loved Marilyn as their own daughter and treated her as such her whole life. Lily couldn't help but feel anger toward her sister. Yes, Marilyn wasn't as fortunate as the rest of the family, but that was no reason for her sister to abandon her the way she did.

"Grandpa, I don't think Beatrice is the right person to go to for help." Lily said.

"And why not? I taught her potions when she was a child and she's become one of the greatest mad scientists just like her father! Why she sent me potion recipes for me to try a while back!" Grandpa exclaimed.

"Yes, I know my sister is good at potions, but she can't bother to give unconditional love to her own daughter." Lily said angrily.

"I know, but remember she's better at potions than her dad!" Grandpa exclaimed.

"Well, I can't argue with that. All I hear down in that lab is explosions and you leave your mess for me to clean up!" Lily exclaimed.

"Yeah....but I'm still learning!" Grandpa exclaimed.

"Grandpa, are you sure we're doing the right thing?" Lily asked.

"Yes." Grandpa answered.

"I dunno, Grandpa, aunt Beatrice isn't very nice...." Eddie said.

"Well, she'll listen to me. She has to! I'm her father!" Grandpa said. "And if she doesn't, I have my ways...."

"Grandpa we are not using one of your sneaky tricks on my sister in law! I want everyone to agree that we are going to be civil and adult about this whole thing." Herman said.

"Oh, yeah, sure. Says my stupid son-in-law who does sneaky things all the time!"'grandpa exclaimed.

"Now when have I ever done anything sneaky?" Herman asked.

"Well, remember when you decided to become a detective and Lily ended up punching you in the chin for it?" Grandpa asked.

"I remember for full well and don't remind me." Herman said.

"Oh alright! It's settled! If we must go to my sister for help, we will go to my sister!" Lily exclaimed throwing her hands in the air tired of this ridiculous argument and turned her head to see Marilyn beginning to be visibly upset. Lily walked over to her niece.

"What's wrong dear?" Lily asked.

"I'm just so mad at my mother...I get I'm not very pretty but why did she have to abandon me?" Marilyn asked on the verge of tears. Lily felt like her heart was being ripped out and stomped all over. It was bad enough Marilyn inherited the bad end of the Munster gene pool, but for a mother to abandon her daughter based on her looks was a horrible thing for a mother to do to her daughter.

"There there dear, I know your mother was wrong for abandoning you, but this so for Morticia and she needs us right now." Lily said.

"I know aunt Lily." Marilyn said.

"You don't have to come in deal with your mother if you really don't want to." Lily said.

"Thank you, aunt Lily." Marilyn said.

"Of course, dear." Lily said kissing Marilyn's cheek. Marilyn kisses Lily's cheek in return.
