Lily, Grandpa, and Morticia continued to fly for a longer while and eventually were almost at the castle. Grandpa and Lily were thrilled and so was Morticia but she was beginning to feel weaker and was flying slower than everyone else. Concerned, Lily turned to Morticia.

"Are you alright?" Lily asked.

"Yes, perhaps just a little tired from flying, after all I'm not accustomed to it." Morticia said.

"Do you need Grandpa and I to help carry you?" Lily offered.

"Oh, no, I'm alright! But thank you." Morticia answered. "We're almost to the castle, I'll be Abel to make it until then."

"Alright, but let me know if you can't make it." Lily said.

Gomez was waiting for Grandpa and Lily to bring Morticia back and for Herman, Uncle Fester, Mama, and maybe Beatrice to give the children the signal that it was ok for them to go outside, growing more impatient by the hour. He smoked his cigar and paced the laboratory floor. He couldn't bear waiting much longer. He knew if he waited any longer he would snap.

"Father, when can we go outside?" Pugsley asked.

"Soon son, soon." Gomez answered, but deep down he was uncertain. Lily and Grandpa have been gone for a long while looking for Morticia and Lionel might be unaware that everyone else was outside and if Lionel was unaware of that they couldn't do anything if they were planning on waiting him out. They really ought to just call the police.

"Father how soon will we be able to leave?" Pugsley asked.

"To tell you the truth, I don't know son." Gomez said giving Pugsley a supportive pat on the back.

"I wish you did know. That way it wouldn't feel like I was waiting for a thousand years." Pugsley said.

"I wish I knew too son." Pugsley said. Wednesday walked over to Gomez and hugged him.

"I miss mother." Wednesday said.

"Trust me darling, I miss her too." Gomez said picking up Wednesday and holding her.

"Look Wednesday! It's a gloomy day out!" Gomez said trying to make Wednesday as happy as possible. Well, as happy as an Addams can be.

"I like gloomy days. They're nice." Wednesday said.

"Don't you all think we ought to call the police?" Beatrice asked. "I am tired of waiting out for that guy!"

"So am I! But don't you think we ought to know where he is?!" Herman asked.

"Well, he has to be around here somewhere! He certainly won't just disappear in thin air!" Mama exclaimed.

"So in other words, we've been waiting around for no reason." Uncle Fester said.

"Maybe.." Herman trailed off.

"You know what Herman? I agree with my sister every time my she calls you a big galoufa, or the occasional feather browned klutz!" Beatrice exclaimed. "Lionel could be ANYWHERE right now and look where we are?! We're waiting around for a criminal and the police should do their job and capture him!"

"Now Beatrice, you're forgetting we don't have a telephone installed." Herman said.

"Don't you think someone could've walked or taken the Munster coach to the police station?" Beatrice asked.

"Well.....oh...right..." Herman said.

"Well if you dummies are just going to sit here I'm going to be the smart one and take the Munster coach and drive to the police station!" Beatrice exclaimed throwing her hands in the air and storming off to the coach.
