Okay, this is something I have to address. Coronavirus is a serious thing. Please do you're part and stay inside. My school has been shut down until May 4th, so I'm going to have a lot of time. Just stay safe and be careful. Don't treat this like it's not something because it is something.

Another thing I need to address is something that really pains me. If you haven't read my profile, I'm Chinese. I'm a Chinese girl who was born in America. The thing is, if you look at a me directly, you can tell I'm Chinese right away. My race has been attacked ever since the pandemic began.

I've already had a close friend who's gotten attacked online on Facebook because he's Chinese as well. People who do that don't understand, just because we're  Chinese, doesn't mean we brought over this virus.
I haven't been publicly attacked like him, but I have had some public experiences with this.

I was going to the doctors with my mom for my yearly check up. Then I was passing by a mother and her daughter of a different race. When I passed by them, I got a dirty look from both that grown adult and child. It really hurt me. Ever since then, I can't go outside without feeling like people are judging me because I'm Chinese.

This hurts. I can't go to a restaurant without a waiter or waitress looking at me like I did something wrong. I can't hang out with my friends without feeling like I don't belong. This isn't me. I'm usually the person who forgets I'm Chinese and that I'm different. Now it feels like if I go anywhere, that's what I'm always labeled. The Chinese who brought over the virus.

People are blaming one race for everything. Most don't realize how people of that race feel. Racism doesn't go without hurt. My race has been experiencing this ever since this started on social media and in real life.

This is what I really wanted to address today. Be safe and think before you blame. These have effects that really hurt.
