(Chris)

"Ricky came up yesterday..." I mumbled into the phone.
"Seriously?" Ghost shouted, clearly not giving a fuck about my hangover.

"Yeah. I blacked out or something, I don't know but I ended up in the bathroom with sick over my hands. And I sung for the first time in fucking ages."
"Really? What song?" He said eagerly, clearly pleased I was doing something other than moping around.

"The Drug in Me is You."
"Oh." He muttered with his tone of voice changing drastically. "I've fucked up. Ryan now hates me and so does Ricky."

"I know. What're you gonna do to get them both back?"
"Fuck all Ghost. There's nothing I can do. Ricky doesn't want to be with me because I'm an asshole, and Ryan doesn't wanna know me because I'm selfish and stupid and-"

"Shut the hell up. Seriously, Chris just stop. None of that is true, if you don't believe me then ask Ricky. Actually...don't do that."
"I wasn't gonna. God I just...hurt. And we need to get a new guitarist, we go on tour for Graveyard Shift next week for fucks sake."

"Yeah, don't worry. I asked Ricky and he said he'll do it, like his last show, I guess." Ghost sighed into the phone, probably frowning at Ricky's actions. I didn't want any of them to leave the band, but I couldn't stop them if that's what they wanted.

"Aren't you the one leaving after the tour?"
"Technically...I guess me and Ricky are." He said almost too quietly for me to hear. I sighed and rested my head against the wall before closing my eyes. "I'm gonna miss you. And him. Fuck, I'm gonna miss you both."

"I know, but I'll still come and see you. You can't get rid of me that easily." He teased, making me chuckle dryly into the phone because he was right. "I'm gonna come up for a bit alright?"

"Okay...I-I think I'm gonna go look for Ricky's ring and give it to him." I mumbled, knowing Ricky's ring was outside in the garden somewhere. "Alright. I'll call you when I'm outside."
"Kay. See you soon." I said before hanging up.

I slipped on one of the clean shirts I had and pulled a pair of shorts on before walking outside and sighing. Ryan and the others had cleaned up all of the shit from the party, I just hoped they hadn't touched the ring.

I didn't want it to go, I know it'd be better for me mentally if it did, but fuck it. I glanced at the grass and sighed when I quickly realised it was damn near impossible to see anything other than grass and dirt.

I dropped to my knees and rummaged around, crawling across the grass and I was about to lose hope after looking for an hour. I felt my hope deflate until I spotted something glinting in the sun. With shaking hands, I grabbed the ring and rushed inside.

I washed it and ran my thumb around the surface of it, sighing as softly as I could. After everything the guys had done, after all the trouble they'd gone to, just to put the wedding together was for fuck all.

I kept the ring in my hand for a while, long enough for Ghost to walk into mine and make himself a coffee. "Chris, are you literally just gonna stand there? What's so fascinating?"
Wordlessly, I turned around and held up the ring before dropping my gaze to my grass stained knees.

"Jesus...Chris, go clean yourself up. I'll look after the ring, I promise. Nothing will happen to it."
"Okay." I said softly, handing him the ring reluctantly. He made a show of placing it down carefully on the kitchen table and covering it with a glass.

And after that, he bent some straws and made a "fence" around the glass to show how he was gonna look after it. For the first time in a while, I broke out in a huge grin. Ghost looked at me and smiled back with a gleam of hope in his eyes.

I rolled my eyes and smiled again before walking upstairs into the bathroom. I quickly stripped and stood under the water in the shower, rubbing shampoo into my hair and sighing softly.

Thankfully, I didn't have any flashbacks of anything I'd done with Ricky in the shower and the realisation of that had me smiling all the way back to my bedroom and downstairs after I'd gotten dressed.

"You're looking happier Chris." I jumped at the sound of Vinny's voice before pulling him into a messy hug. "Well yeah. I'm not made of Stone y'know?"
"Oh we know." He said teasingly before sitting on the sofa next to Ghost. Ghost wrapped his arm around Vinny and pulled him against him, making me frown in confusion.

"Chris, I had Bonnie when I was with Mike ages ago, which is why she doesn't live with me and Vin."
"Why doesn't anybody ever tell me anything?" I groaned, rubbing my temples in annoyance. I didn't know Mike and Ghost had gotten together.

I knew they'd had a kid together but I didn't know Ghost was still with Vinny. Goddamn it people make my head hurt.
