A few days later...

"Chris is coming back home today." Ryan mumbled while he yawned softly and rubbed his eyes.

I opened one of my eyes before grunting, turning over in the bed and covering my head with the blankets. "Ricky?"
"Go away."

"What's wrong?"
"I don't know, okay? I just can't be arsed to move right now." I mumbled, trying to go back to sleep.

I couldn't wait for Chris to come back home, I wanted to be back with him, the way we used to be. "Your kids are screaming." Ryan said bluntly, walking out and slamming the door shut.

I groaned and threw the blanket off of me, getting dressed quickly and making my way downstairs.

It didn't dawn on me until I was downstairs that the kids hadn't been crying. I frowned and opened the front room door and froze.

My eyes widened as a smile grew on his face. "You're really back?"
"Of course, I live here, don't I?" Chris said with a smile, opening his arms wide.

I ran into his arms and clung onto my husband, tears running down my face as he held me tightly. "Hey, no. No crying, my beautiful Ricky..." I laughed weakly and wiped my tears away.

"I just can't believe you're back already."
"Didn't you want me to come back?" He asked, sounding slightly hurt. "No! Of course I did! I just...I don't think we can prolong this conversation anymore, can we?"

Chris seemed to understand what I was saying, because realisation came to his face. "You're right. Ryan, can you and Ange take the kids out so me and Ricky can talk, please?"

"Talk. Right." Ryan said sarcastically, walking out and shutting the door loudly behind him. "We'll be back in a few hours!" Ange said about 20 minutes after that. "Kay! Bye."

When I was certain they were gone, I pulled away from Chris and sat down on the sofa. He sat down next to me and took a deep breath. "I'll get into contact with Gaia. I'll go and do a DNA test. Shit, I'll even go on that Jeremy Kyle show just to find out the truth."

"That means a lot to me, Chris. I just don't know what'll happen to us, if she is your daughter. I don't think either of us considered it as a possibility until Gaia turned up." Chris nodded at my words and sighed.

"I fucked up. I should've told you, I know I've said this before. But I should've told you. I don't think you fully understand everything I'll do for you, Ricky. I love you and I don't know what I'll do without you."

"Chris...Chris. We both fucked up. I know you love me and I love you too. I love what we had together, and our kids. I love it all." His face grew grave when I stopped. "Why do I sense a huge 'but...?' Coming along?"

"But...I want more." He frowned in surprise, clearly he wasn't expecting me to say that. "Like what?"
"Everything I could ever have with you. I don't wanna live without you again, it almost destroyed me."

"Then I'll give you everything you could want...and more." I smiled as he pulled me into his lap. I straddled his hips and looked into his eyes. I can't believe I almost gave this up.

"But for now, I'll settle for you. Just you." He smirked and pressed his lips to mine. The feeling was addictive. The way his lips moved against mine, and the way he held me...it was like a dream.

"I love you." He said over and over again between kisses, almost like he couldn't deal without telling me how he felt. Every time he said it, I repeated it.

Soon, I was grinding against him, whimpering pathetically. He tutted and waggled his finger in front of my face, making me groan. "Now now, Ricky. They're gonna be back soon."

I glared at him and shot him the finger, making him laugh and kiss me again. "Does this mean we're back together, then?" I nodded at him and cuddled up with him. "What about the divorce papers?"

"I'll burn them tomorrow."

"Are you sure? Because once you do that, there's no going back. And I sure as hell refuse to sign anymore in case you ever change your mind." He said with a finality that left no room for arguments. "I'm certain."

He smiled widely with his eyes shining brightly. The door opened and Ange walked in with a peaceful smile on his face. "Where's Ryan?"

"He's putting the kids in their beds."
"Did Damian have his meds?" Chris mumbled, looking concerned. I frowned, because I didn't know.

I felt like the shittest parent going, I didn't even know if my son had been given the pills he needs to live. Ange rolled his eyes and nodded, smiling at me reassuringly.

"Yeah, we're not incompetent. Besides. Daddy Chris and Daddy Ricky would probably rip our throats out if we didn't give him them." Angelo said in a baby voice.

Which had me and Chris laughing. "And Daddy Ricky will kill you both if me and Daddy Chris can't have some adult time." I said in the exact same voice Angelo used. Ryan looked at us with the blandest expression I'd ever seen.

"Let's go then." Angelo said, smiling sweetly at the two of us. Chris smiled back and stood up. "I'm going to speak to these two for a bit Okay love?"
"Kay. Hurry back."

Chris winked at me and walked out.
