The next morning...

(Ricky)

Me and Ange got up earlier than normal, to go to the hospital and see Chris before we ended up interrogated.

God damn it, I hate him.

Mitch fucking Canner. He thinks he's the best, but he isn't. I thought he was nice, he seemed helpful when I first met him...

-flashback-

I waved Ghost goodbye, clutching Dani in my arm. The neighbour opened his door and instantly locked eyes with me. I froze and tried looking away.

He waved and I found myself waving back, mesmerised by the way his blonde hair shone in the sun. He walked up to me and smiled brightly.

"Hey, I'm Mitch Canner. You are?"
"Ricky...Cerulli, and this is my daughter, Dani Cerulli."
"Nice to meet y'all. Do y'all need any help?"

"No, thanks anyway."

Well that was weird.

-two days later-

Well, I went to see Chris today 'cause he wanted to show me some song. But it didn't stay that innocent, he told me he still loved me after fucking me.

Oh well, it was fun.

"...Oi Fag!" I tensed up and saw Mitch standing in front of me with his hands clenched into fists.

"Mitch?"
"Don't talk to me, you crazy jackass. If you fucking show your face again I'll cave it in. I'll do the same to those dirty bastard children you have. Fag."

I raised an eyebrow, but he swung. I managed to duck, but he still managed to hit my eye square on. For a moment I thought he'd blinded me. Eventually, my eyes opened and my face felt tender.

Mitch was nowhere in sight.

-end-

"Mr Olson, Mr. Parente. Dr. Manson asked me to fetch you." A shy looking boy said, seeming more timid than I thought possible.

He was a nurse, and to be honest, it kinda matched his feminine...ish looks. Me and Ange simultaneously stood up and walked up to him.

"I'm N-Nurse Jeremy."
"Hey, Nurse Jeremy, I'm Ange. Why did Manson need us?" That, my friend is a good fucking question.

"Chris ended up speaking to the cops. He said that he was defending you when he did it, and he hadn't hurt him much before he got brick slammed." Manson said, appearing like smoke.

Brick slammed? There's a phrase you don't hear everyday. I didn't think a medical professional would use a term like the one he just did. Maybe that shows how fond Manson is of me and Chris...

I jumped slightly at the unexpected arrival, but shuddered and looked at him. He had a grave look on his face. "What?"
"I think I'll just show you, Mr. Olson. Angelo. Wait here for a moment okay?"

Ange hummed before he went back to talking to Jeremy. I sighed and followed Manson until he paused outside Chris' door. He quickly opened it before shutting it, discreetly locking it.

I turned and almost yelled in surprise. Chris was sitting on the bed, looking like the Chris I love. He had a small smile playing on his lips, but a darkness to his eyes.

"I wanted to...apologise. Again." He murmured softly before handing me a small, wrapped box. "Manson helped me get it." He whispered before looking down at his feet. I didn't know what to say, because this was cheesy but backwards.

I should be the one apologising, and buying him stuff. But I didn't, I didn't even think about doing it.

I rolled my eyes and opened the box, my eyes widening in delight and shock. Chris really knows me well...

He'd brought me a new chain, signed guitar pics, more eyeliner and a 50% off coupon for new tattoos.

"Chris, I-I love it! I love you!" I said, almost in tears as I clambered into his lap. He pulled me into his arms and rocked us back and forwards slowly while stroking my hair softly. "I forgive you." I murmured into his chest when I'd managed to calm down.

All the tension in Chris' body vanished and he slumped against me slightly. "I-I was scared you'd say no..." Chris said softly, holding me tighter. "Oh no, no. I wouldn't, I really wouldn't. I have to say sorry, because I acted dumb."

"How so?" He questioned.
"I didn't tell you about the divorce not being finalised...and I didn't listen to you, and all of this happened a-and I-"

Chris broke me off by slamming his lips to mine and running his fingers through my hair. "Shut up." He growled into the kiss before the door knocked.

The effect on me was instant. I flew off the bed and jumped onto one of the chairs, sitting calmly as soon as someone walked in. "Ah, Chris. Did you tell him the news?"

News? Chris glanced at me with guilty eyes before shaking his head. "I forgot, Manson. Sorry."
"Kids. Anyway, Ricky. Chris has had all charges dropped because a certain...video popped up about Mr. Canner." Manson said, smiling at both of us before opening the door.

Ange walked in and smiled at Chris, sitting next to him and taking all of his attention away from Manson. "He might end up with serious issues later in life because of all the head trauma. I don't know if he'll have any...permanent effects."

"But it might?" I hissed, shooting Manson a small glare. "Sadly, yes." His grey hair seemed silver in the harsh lights, and the creases on his face looked more prominent. "Is it likely?"
"Well, he's been in here before with head trauma, and this time it's worse. It's hard to say, at this point in time." He said softly.

Chris turned to look at me with shimmering eyes that lit my heart up. But they didn't do a good enough job, because my dreary, dismal mood wasn't about to change any time soon.

"Ricky? Are you okay, you look...weird." Ange said as he stood up and walked over to me with a small frown. "I'll talk to you about it later." I mumbled, faking a smile before I kissed Chris softly.

"I need to go sort some stuff out, I'll be back later."  I didn't.
"See you soon, baby." He murmured wistfully, watching as I left the room with Angelo.

"Are you and Chris back together?" Angelo said enthusiastically as we climbed into the car. He started the car and I sighed. "I don't know."

And I didn't know.
