Quinn and Puck kept the news of their engagement to themselves. They were both so excited, but they wanted to enjoy it without thousands of questions about when the wedding would be.

Plus, they knew all of their friends would want to be involved and there was a lot to think about before they shared the news.

After two weeks, Quinn decided to call her mom to tell her.

"Hey, Mom." Quinn said when Judy answered the phone.

"Hi, honey. How are you feeling?" Judy asked.

"I'm good." Quinn answered. "I wanted to call you so I could share the good news."

"The good news?" Judy repeated.

"Yes." Quinn replied. "Noah and I are engaged."

"Finally." Judy responded. "He asked for my blessing."

"He did?" Quinn wondered. "When?"

"Months ago." Judy said. "He called me and asked for my permission to marry you."

"I didn't know that." Quinn stated. "That's so sweet."

"I'm really happy for you, honey." Judy told Quinn.

"Thank you." Quinn said with a smile. "We haven't made any plans yet and we were keeping it between us, but we're starting to tell everyone."

"Thanks for calling me." Judy responded.

"Yeah." Quinn replied as Puck entered the apartment. "I have to go, but I'll talk to you soon. Bye, Mom."

Quinn hung up the phone and looked at Puck.

"Hey." Puck said.

"Hey." Quinn replied. "You didn't tell me that you asked my mom for permission to marry me."

"Yeah." Puck nodded. "When we were in middle school, I remember Finn saying you told him to ask your dad's permission when you fake-married him at recess."

"You remember that?" Quinn asked.

"I remember telling myself to make note of that for the future." Puck replied as he joined Quinn on the couch.

Quinn smiled. "Really?"

"I just figured it was the right thing to do. Like, you would want me to ask your mom." Puck shrugged. "Not that you'd listen if she said no."

"Well, that was really sweet of you." Quinn grinned as she kissed Puck's cheek.
