You were hanging around with Kiyoko, doing your manager things whilst some idiot first and second years blabbed on about the Skytree, which wasn't going well considering they were just pointing out normal transmission towers.
"The transmission towers in Tokyo all look like the Tokyo Tower to us countryfolk" argued Daichi back to Kuroo, their captain arguments all coming rolling back slowly and you weren't prepared to listen to it in all honesty.
What you were prepared for though, was to see your smexy manger babes again (the mangers need more love and thats on periodt 😤). Then on the horizon, you saw Lev running down to Hinata and Kenma shouting something along the lines of 'did you grow any taller' and that he grew 2mm and it threatened you immensely.
Kiyoko noticed your face of disgust thrown towards the massive wee wee man and put a hand on your shoulder, "They just keep growing don't they?" to which you responded with a hum and carried on walking with her.
Their first match was against Fukurodani and you couldn't help but notice how freaking pretty Akaashi is. Of course you noticed last time you came but just studying his features now it was obvious he was model material.
You continued watching him (not creepily just in awe) throughout the first set and it was safe to say you were whipped but not romantically, just at the fact he was super gorgeous. The ball was served into the court and Nishinoya received it perfectly before it went to Kageyama, Hinata ran up to the net and jumped up to spike the ball but alas, the ball never reached him and Kageyama just stood there in embarrassment whilst everyone looked at him shooketh.
This time, the set was too long and Hinata failed to spike it once again but as he was falling, he used his left hand to keep it up instead of panicking as usual. You looked skeptically towards the coach knowing he did do something to both of them though you were not 100% sure what yet. He seemed to feel your stare on him and turned to you to glare back, "What's that look for?" he exclaimed towards you, "What did you do to them?" you exclaimed back, "Why're you blaming me?" "You're the coach, and nobody else would want to train those two idiots" you said back, except it was a bit more of a shout and the two idiots turned towards you with defeated looks on their faces, and you heard Tsukishima snicker along and say something like 'it's true'.
They weren't in sync at all and you got quite a few laughs out of it but they were improving, slowly but surely, trying new techniques to help them win.
It seemed Coach Nekomata had noticed it too, everyone was improving, all but one it seems, Tsukishima never goes all out in games. Never tries that hard, never bothers in the game at all.
"I'll be back in a sec" you said to Kiyoko, to which she nodded before you walked over to Nekomata. "You've noticed it too?" he said to you and you nodded in confirmation before standing next to him. "He doesn't bother trying at all, whether it be practice or an actual match" you started, "It always seems minimal effort when it comes to Tsukishima" "I'd expect just that kind of analysis from the Black Dove" he laughed "we didn't get to really talk last time you were here, so i'm glad I get the opportunity to now" "Ah, so you noticed, I was wondering how long the peace would last" "Well if you brought that much of an impact to the volleyball world I would think you should of expected it" he continued "and then you moved here, how lovely" "I guess" you replied with a serene smile, "I'm glad I met them if i'm honest, they made my life more exciting, I think" "You think?" "Eh, they can still be idiots, but that part was probably inevitable wherever I went"
The whistle interrupted your conversation with Nekomata indicating a break for the boys, over came the Nekoma team, sweating and looking really fuckin hot but anyway...
"Woah, we have one of Karasuno's managers now, can we keep her?" asked Lev peering down at you like a child but he is like 6'5 and you weren't ready to start a fight with someone who could probably step on you. "I'm not an animal" you said with a deadpan expression while Lev sweat nervously, "Heh, sorry" he said "I didn't mean it like that" "Seriously though, what's she doing over here?" questioned Yaku Morisuke - the regular libero of the Nekoma volleyball team. "Me and (L/n)-san were just talking, so no we can't keep her" stated Nekomata. "Oh~ what about?" said the Captain, Kuroo Tetsuro with his hands on his hips and a sly smirk on his face. "That's not any of our business" said Kenma Kozume, the setter with an eye for strategy, wiping the smirk right off of Kuroo's face.
"I'm going back to my team now anyway," you stated "maybe we can talk again another time Nekomata - sensei" you finished with a smile in his direction, before walking off back towards your team.
Though, this was not the last time you would be encountering them...
