A/N: So this chapter's topic ended up being a little more serious than I was planning. But side plots are supposed to just be filler, so I don't put as much thought into them, but they're here since I haven't had enough time to write a normal chapter. If anyone feels a little uncomfortable reading about really low confidence/slight anxiety, it's not much, but still. Then feel free to skip this chapter.

Julia Beanstalk was definitely her mother's daughter. Adventurous, brave, and outgoing. Crystal Hood was daring, energetic, and popular. A good friend of theirs- Haley Dumphrey, was not. Haley was a quiet person, who really just wanted to be alone. She didn't really like anything, she was calm and collected. She didn't have any hobbies or interests, she'd never attend any major school events. She was average in grades, athleticism, and social standing. Most people in the school didn't even know she existed. No one knew very much about her, because there wasn't anything to get to know. Not even in a mysterious way, she was just sort of- there. And being completely honest, she was rather uninteresting. She was a blank page, just waiting to be filled with words. But a lot of people were- but you'd just think, that a girl would have at least a bit more of a personality by the time she turned eighteen.

And that's exactly why she was panicking.

"I've done absolutely nothing in my entire life!" she complained. Her eighteenth birthday was coming up in a few weeks, by next year- she would be a senior, and a step closer to living out her very own fairy tale.

Her friend's outfits were unique, they told a story. Who their parents were, their personality, hobbies, and more. Her outfit however? She was wearing a plain white t-shirt dress, with black leggings underneath, and completely black tennis shoes. No differentiating patterns, or accessories, not even a bag to hold her school supplies.

"I'm so lammmmeeeee"

"I mean, no one ever said you had to be"

"You're not helping Juliaaa"

"At this rate, you're going to get a reputation for being extra whiny"

"Oh give her a break Julia, she really doesn't have much going for her, and she's going to be an adult soon"
