I sat in the back of the class, zoning out. I looked out the window and saw a butterfly passing by. I wish I was as free as it. It could go anywhere it wants to at anytime. With nothing to worry about. Nothing at all.

I looked back at the board where the teacher was writing something that I couldn't make out. I laid my head down on my desk longing to be with Johnny when a siren went off through out the whole school.

I jumped up and looked around. The whole class was looking around not knowing what to do. "Kids call down!" The teacher yelled. Surprisingly students listened and sat back down in their seats. Lock and close the windows/doors. Close the blinds. This is a lockdown. This is not a drill. This is a lockdown. This is not a drill....the speaker kept on repeating.

"Everyone be quiet and hide!" The teacher whispered. She got up and quietly closed and locked the window. She closed the blinds then moved on to the door.

I looked around the room. Girls were crying and shaking. Some hugging each other others being hugged by their boyfriends. Johnny! I-I needed to get to Johnny.
