Lauren pov's:

Buzz

Mani: what's got you're pants in a twist?

I looked up from my phone to the other end of the table where normani sat with her phone in hand leaning back on the chair.

Me: nothing

Mani: LIES!!

I looked up to find her looking at me already. I gave her a small glare and typed

Me: ugh! Fine....I haven't talked to any of the girls in a few minutes. I'm sad

Mani: lies again. This is about camila.

Me: how did you do that?

Mani: I just know. Now tell mama what's wrong

I looked up at her. I guess she felt me looking and looked up with the cheesiest smile. I rolled my eyes

"Who you texting?" Camila said. She sat next to me on the table

"Just...my sister. She wanted to know if we could hang out in a few days" I said moving my phone away from her view slowly

"Okay" she nodded and went back to her conversation with alicia. I rolled my eyes

Buzz

Mani: i saw that. Your jelly

Me: ugh Yeah sureeee

Mani: totally now why is my white Latina jelly?

Me: you gotta stop with that, and I dont know

Mani: is it because she hasnt talked to you very much the past few days? Or is it because she hangs out with us more? Or is it because she made two new friends today? Or-

Me: stop! It's the first one, okay? She made two friends? Not just alicia?

Mani: I was not supposed to day that....hey look at the time, I have to go feed my dinah! Bye

Me: normani! Get back here!

Me: MANI!!

Me: answer the god damn phone!!

Me: ughhh!!

"Excuse me" I said in a small voice trying to not interrupt any conversation. I stood up and went to the bathroom to freshen up

"Seriously? Why am I being so paranoid about this? Their just friends calm down lauren" I said yo myself. I turned the faucet on and splashed my face with some warm water. I grabbed some paper towels and patted my face dry

"She doesn't talk to me that much anymore. We never talk much. We do sit next to each other, but we dont hold hands. Or we dont cuddle that much. Am I a bad person? I'm thinking to much, it's just the awkward first month phase, right?" I looked in the mirror at myself

".....I'm gonna go" I whispered and walked out the door. Only to be met with alicia entering the door.

"Sorry. Hey you okay?" She asked

"Oh umm yeah, yeah. I'm fine." I shook it off as nothing. I felt a pang of jealousy and anger in me. No stop it they are just friends

"Okay well....thank you. For coming here and letting me pay for what your girlfriend and friend did. It was really nice of them. You have a good one. Dont let her go."
