Certain Uncertainties

Nagising ako sa malakas na katok. "Buksan mo 'to, Denice!" Sigaw mula sa labas. Tinig 'yon ni Pixie.  Hinila ko ang kumot ko at binalot ang sarili rito.

"Akin na 'yan, dali!!" Narinig kong sabi n'ya. Tunog ng mga susi. Bakit ba my copy s'ya ng susi ng room ko?

"I said wake up" he's standing right in front of my bed now. "Ano ba naman 'yan? Ang aga aga, oh! Natutulog 'yung tao?" Marahas kong tinanggal ang kumot at tiningnan s'ya ng masama.

Pixie Lopez, my manager. He's wearing his usual floral top, orange pants and bangles. Nakasukbit sa braso nya ang louis vuitton bag at sa kabila naman ay pamaypay. I wonder why he's on full make-up ng ganito kaaga.

He looked around, and grabbed the bottle of whiskey. "Night before the Ball? Seriously, Maria Denice?" Ang arte n'ya magsalita, which always annoys me. I could see the frustration on his face.

"I'm celebrating the role I just lost. Did you come all the way here to call me Maria? At 7:30 AM?" Naupo ako sa edge ng kama ko. "Look" he then showed me the trending list on his phone.

"Kailan lang natahimik ang pangalan mo after months, tapos ito na naman?" Sermon nito. "I told you, you hanging out with that guy will cause you problems!" Dagdag pa n'ya.

"People don't care about that! They think you were the reason of the EdCy breakup!" Sigaw ng sigaw, Nakakarindi na but I cracked up upon hearing the "loveteam" EdCy. Stands for Edward and Stacy.

"Could they be more lame?" Tawang tawa ako.  Edcy? What was that? Edgy? Eggsy? Tapsi? Tapsilog. I want that for breakfast. Hmmm...

"Nakakatawa 'yon?" Pagtataray n'ya.

Napairap ako. "First of all, we've been dating for 6 months before EdCy was formed" I said, quoting the word edcy in the air. Funny talaga. "It wasn't my fault kung nagfail ang loveteam nila and besides, they don't really look good together" pagtatanggol ko sa sarili ko.

"You're being bashed, again. Sinasabi nila na ikaw ang dahilan noon kaya nagbreak ang loveteam ni Francis at Casey, and now you're involve in yet another breakup? They even call you loveteam wrecker!"
