"Max, if you don't want to go to Mexico, I'm sure we can find someone else to take the trip instead" Hades spoke, puffing on his cigar next to him, letting the smoke fall in repeated pops. The rest of the haze in the air was the heat of the hot tub steam rising up toward the dark sky. It was the city, but the pool balcony was actually high enough that you could see the stars. Max just sighed, leaning his head back against the back ridge.

"Signor Torres and my Father were close, that's the only reason he's willing to work with us. He doesn't trust anyone else, he already said he won't hand over the product unless I meet him for the exchange personally" she retorted stiffly "Signor Torress is good to us, I'm not going to burn another bridge"

"At least let me go with you," Spike responded from his other side, blowing at the shiny bubbles floating in the air. Whoever thought it was a good idea to get a bubble machine, he would be sure to ex-communicate them immediately.

"I haven't seen that one before" Max's eyes drew to Hades, who was leaning up, looking in the distance towards the pool "Kinda plain, but I'd still hit it" Max's eyebrows raised, leaning up. His eyes widened, catching sight of the girl he had spent the last two hours maliciously looking for. "I wonder what her screams sound like"

"Shut the fuck up!" he growled, hitting the guy in the chest. He just stared, watching as she walked next to Bunny, her gate was timid, but like she was pretending not to be. They both held towels, placing them down on respective white chairs by the pool. His arm was suddenly grabbed with a tough hand and yanked.

"What the fuck is she doing here?!" Spike whisper-yelled into his ear.

"This isn't my doing" Max retorted stiffly, his distain palatable. If it was his doing, she definitely wouldn't have been wearing a tiny, skimpy piece of fabric dressing the most intimate parts. She'd be wearing a full-body suit three sizes too big. The white bow she wore, pinned in her hair, signified that she wasn't supposed to be there. This was a gathering for higher members, and that bow was going to make her a target.

That was when Harmony caught sight of him, nearly jumping because of it. He was in the nearby hot tub, surrounded by the steam, but she could still see him clearly, and the look in his eyes was no less than murderous.

"He's staring" Harmony muttered, quick to hide beside Bunny like she was a shield, feeling a forming ball in her throat that refused to go down.

"Of course he's staring, he's a fucking boy" Bunny retorted with amusement, guiding her towards the pool. "In that getup, you might as well have 'look at me' tattooed across your forehead!" she tapped her on the back.

This place was beautiful, the lights shimmered as the water rippled, and the bubbles flew all over the place, luminescent-edged rainbows from the moonlight shining down upon them. The music was loud, but quiet enough to still hear what the people around you were saying. The place was crazy, with people running across the deck, dancing with the drinks held up in the air, obviously already drunk. The girls moved like the water moved, it was beautiful in a way. The others were jumping into the pool, laughing and drinking from their clear cups

"Come on Hon!" Bunny claimed, and it was only a moment later when Harmony gasped, watching as Bunny jumped into the pool, causing a massive splash that soaked her bare feet. She couldn't believe it, watching her come up to the surface, pushing back her long, beautiful raven hair glinting in the moonlight. She looked up at her, coming to the edge of the pool, placing her arms up and watching the small girl squirm. The night was warm, but the gentle breeze was cool, taking in each deep breath, she wished she was just the type of person who could relax. She couldn't help but envy these people, how free they looked, without a care. She felt her eyes pull back to the hot tub, the man standing in it looking right at her with dark blue, glorious eyes. She wished she could experience this moment without the presence of her captor. Here, perhaps she had it easy, no one knew who she was, except him. But, despite the look on his face amongst the haze, clearly telling her 'no', she plugged her nose before jumping, hitting the water with a splash.

Her eyes closed, and in the warm water, she stretched, she was floating in nothing. For just a moment, she was free, and it was absolutely perfect. There was something about water, it made you weightless, but it was probably the most destructive force on the entire planet, aside from humans of course. She loved swimming when she was a kid, in the toddler pool because her mother was too afraid to have her swim in the deeper pool. But, sometimes, even when she hadn't been taught to swim, she wanted to jump into that deep pool, to reach out and feel nothing pushing back against her. It was as if the world spun around her, but she was the one spinning so fast. She emerged from the water, pushing back her hair with a fulfilled smile. The warmth of the water, it invigorated her entire being. She was too short to reach the bottom of the pool, so she floated, watching as Bunny moved towards the edge, grabbing a half-full bottle of vodka that had been placed there, along with two plastic shot glasses.

"You gotta loosen up, hon!" Harmony swam over, doing it just like she had watched the big kids swim, grabbing hold of the bumpy side of the pool with a wet hand, sensing the coolness of the night air. She held her eyes as Bunny poured the two shot glasses right to the top with clear poison, holding out one for her to take. She hesitated, but eventually reached out, taking the small, full plastic glass between her fingers. "This should do it"

Harmony witnesses Bunny force back her shot, emptying the small glass in a single go before slapping it back on the edge of the pool, next to the bottle of vodka. She knew he was looking at her, he hadn't looked away for a moment. She found her eyes turning, catching his stare with her own. She had already disobeyed him once by jumping in the pool, and he had done nothing but watch her do it. Somehow, Maxwell didn't seem so deadly anymore, like a dog that only snarled and barked, but never bit. It was kind of amusing, she found a smile holding across her features, looking him in the face with her defiance. Disobeying him, it was a rush within itself. She watched from the corner of her eye, bringing the glass to her lips and taking the leap. She shot it in one go, almost spitting it out because it tasted so horrible. It wasn't a hot burn, but a more satisfying one, like sitting next to a blazing fire in the cold. She coughed, placing the glass back on the edge of the pool, and wiping away her mouth with a wet hand. Bunny only watched her, a mischievous smile on her lips.

All her life she had been under the thumb of something, of someone. But, Maxwell didn't control her, she had not an ounce of respect for him, his opinion may have held weight with others, but not her. To her, he was just a poodle. She let Bunny refill her cup with the vodka, and turning to look at him, she lifted up the glass to say 'cheers' to his monstrous features. She watched him as she downed the second shot, watching that vein on his collarbone rise with fury. She didn't want to drink that stuff, it tasted horrible! but, it left a warmth within the confines of her skull, but the reason that influenced her the most was that it pissed him off.

"Another?" she turned back, admiring the raised eyebrow of amusement Bunny had, holding up a bottle of tequila. Harmony smiled, holding out her cup for Bunny to fill

"Another"
