"Care to explain?" Nakahalukipkip na bungad ko kay Mr. Asungot na Professor pagkapasok na pagkapasok niya pa lang sa pinto ng bahay.

"'Bout what?" Pa-inosente niya pang tanong na ikinataas ng kilay ko.

With my heavy foot, I stomped 'til I reach his place. Nakasunod lang naman ang tingin niya sa bawat galaw ko hanggang sa huminto ako sa harapan niya. Amusement is evident on his face.

"What were you doing in the University?" Pigil ang inis na tanong ko.

He shrugged his shoulders and inserted his hands on his pockets na mas ikinainit pa ng ulo ko.

"I'm working." Plain na sagot niya.

"But why there? And daming ibang schools sa mundo! And do you even really need to work? With a mansion like this?" I asked him, more on confused with the thought of him, working.

"Yes. You see the mansion, I gotta pay a huge amount for the expenses that's why I got to work." Pagak na napatawa ako sa sinabi niya.

Siguro kapag nalaman ko pa na CEO siya ng company, maniniwala pa ako na nagta-trabaho lang talaga siya for the mansion's expenses, but professor? I don't think sasapat ang sweldo niya para sa lahat ng nakikita kong gastos rito sa bahay, lalo na sa dami ng maids niya.

And if it's really just the expenses, how can he explain the past months? Yung wala pa ako rito? Siguro naman may permanent na trabaho siya na napagkukunan niya ng panggastos. Why sudden change work right?

"Don't kid around, you vampire. I know there's something... like a hidden agenda, kaya ka pumasok sa University." Desidong paghuli ko sakanya.

And the smirk on his lips told me that I just hit the right spot.

"Your Lolo Dad entrusted you with me. And seeing you coming home dripping wet, smelling foul, and mouth shut? I told you... I wouldn't just sit back here."

Napaawang ang labi ko sa dahilang ibinigay niya saakin. He entered the university just for that? At ano namang gagawin niya? It happened already. Nothing can change it.

"But I came back fine! I chose not to tell you because I knew you'd do something foolish!" Pagdadahilan ko pa pero hindi niya ako pinansin.

He started walking pass right through me na halos ikausok na ng ilong ko. How can this vampire be so ungentleman? Where's the good moral in him? He just turned his back on me!

"Hey vampire!" Tawag ko sa atensyon niya habang nakasunod sa likod niya, pero hindi niya ako pinansin. "Lucius---"

"It's Love for you." Saglit na binalingan niya ako ng tingin nang may nakapaskil na ngisi sa labi bago muling nag-iwas.

Ramdam ko naman ang pag-iinit ng pisngi ko sa sinabi niya.

"Oh please! Just stop you vampire!" Sigaw ko pero hindi niya na ako binalingan pa ng tingin o kahit sulyap man lang.

Maids were looking at us na para bang nasa loob kami ng isang malaking screen ng TV, pero hindi ko na sila pinansin pa. I walked after him na ngayon ay paakyat na ng hagdan.

"Vampire!" Tawag ko sakanya pero wala.

"Lucius!"

He just kept on taking steps hanggang sa makarating na kami sa itaas.

"Vermes!"

He turned right that led to the other pathway, directly away from my room.

"Lucius Vermes!"

At the end of the path, he stopped infront of a large oak door, and i don't need to ask the maids anymore para malaman na kwarto niya iyon.

"Professor!"
