18: Sweet

Tapos na ang finals. Sembreak na kaya excited na akong umuwi ng Baguio. Pero bago ako umuwi, magse-celebrate muna kami ni Caeus. We had a lot of reasons to. First, he finally passed Chem 101. Siguro sa iba parang mababaw lang lang pero sobrang big deal sa amin.

Second, it was our first monthsary. Sabi ko yung first lang ang i-celebrate namin. Hindi ko kasi feel yung every month nagse-celebrate ng monthsary. Pumayag naman siya.

Exam day yung actual date ng monthsary namin pero we agreed to celebrate it after the exams. We focused our attention to studying.

Lagi naman kaming nagde-date ni Caeus pero ito yung talagang date na parang napapanood sa mga romantic movies. Sinuot ko yung isa sa mga floral dress na binili niya para sa akin. Pati yung shoes na binigay niya sinuot ko din. Nagpalagay pa ako ng konting make-up kay Issa. Feeling ko tuloy first date talaga namin. Ngayon lang kasi ako nag-ayos para sa date.

Nagpunta kami dun sa favorite niyang bistro. Nagulat ako dahil pina-reserve niya pala yung buong lugar para sa monthsary namin. Napangiti ako sa set-up na nakita ko dun sa garden nila. May Christmas lights na yung mga puno kaya ang gandang tignan. Sa baba nung pinakamalaking puno, may nakalatag na mat. Sa ibabaw nung mat, may maliliit na unan at mababang mesa na may bouquet ng flowers.

"Happy first monthsary, BG."

Pinaupo ako ni Caeus sa gitna nung mat. Siya pa nagtanggal nung sapatos ko. Umupo siya sa harap ko na may hawak na gitara.

I felt butterflies in my stomach when Caeus started to sing. Our eyes were locked, big smiles etched on our faces.

Hindi natapos ni Caeus yung kanta. I ended up grabbing him by the cheeks and kissing him after he sang the first chorus. Kumanta naman siya ulit after namin kumain. I kept my hands to myself para matapos niya na yung bagong kanta this time.

He gave me a silver necklace with a small sun pendant. Tinanong ko kung bakit sun yung pendant. "To remind us of our first sunset together. The sunset I realized I was falling in love with you."

Muntik na akong maiyak dun sa sagot niya. Actually, teary-eyed na nga ako. Pinigilan ko lang talaga tumulo luha ko. Paulit ulit kong naririnig yung mga sinabi niya sa utak ko. Hindi ko mapigilang ngumiti kapag naaalala ko yun. Ganoon ka-sweet si Caeus Celeste and this time I believed him with all my heart and mind.

Natuwa naman siya sa regalo ko. I printed all our photos from our IG account, Caesica into polaroid-type photos tapos nilagay ko sa isang scrapbook kasama yung mga polaroid namin sa EK at random days. Nasa sasakyan lang kasi yung polaroid camera niya lagi kaming may picture kapag naaalala namin.

Sinulat kamay ko yung mga caption at yung date na kinunan yung picture. Pinagpuyatan ko kaya yun, dapat lang matuwa siya. Tsaka monthsary at Christmas gift kasi yun into one kaya in-effortan ko talaga. Marami pang bakanteng pages yung scrapbook kaya nagpaka-sweet na din ako.
