4. That Feeling

GUESS WHO GOT TEN FOLLOWERS? Meeeeee. I is very very happpppppyyyyy! But I have no more Mac and cheese 😢.

Cathy POV
I walk into my house Jane close behind me, "keep your head down don't look at her if you look at her your ears will die" I whisper and she looks down, I grab her hand a pull her behind me "Cathy who's-"

"Hi mom bye mom." I say quickly and Jane walks into the room with me "lock that door please" I say and she does what I say. I grab a bag and grab two jumpers (yes I'm American but Jumpers sounds better then sweaters) and I grab a pair of jeans and a pair of sweatpants.

"I still can't believe that Henry tried to ask you out" she says

"He's gross, and he smells like poo." I say and Jane laughs, and there goes the butterflies in my stomach

"You're right he does smell." She says, I grab the rest of the stuff I would need for the night.

"Cathy! Open the door!" Mom says

"Veronica open the door please, Veronica open the door, Veronica can we not fight anymore please can we not fight anymore." Jane sings in a whisper voice which made me laugh. I open the door,

"Yes?" I ask

"Who's in the house and why" she asks, I move so she can come in. She sees Jane sitting on my bed and Jane gives her a small wave. "Who are you?" Mom asks

"I'm Jane Seymour, I'm Cathys friend." She says and I motion to her ears, she covers them and Mom squeals,

"You have a friend! Cathy this is amazing!" She shouts

"Yep, okay so I'd like to have my friend to have ear drums when we go back to her house so this is the part where you me alone." I say and push outside "Kay Byeeeeee" I say and shut the door,

"Can I uncover my ears now?" She asks and I nod, she uncovers her ears.

At Janes House
Me and Jane we're playing clue, "how are you doing that, we've played this game for an hour and you've won every single game." I say whining,

"We can play a different game if you want." She says

"Do you have twister?" I ask and she nods, she walks away and one of you her sisters come downstairs. She walks and sits in Janes spot,

"Hi, I'm Dorthy and I'm four." She says and I smile

"Hello Dorthy." I say and she smiles "you must be a very big girl of you're four." I say,

"No, I wanna be able to reach the candy (I think some people call them lollies or sweets, I dunno) that mommy keeps at the top of the cupboard." She says and I laugh, she holds out her arms. "Hugs" she says and I hold out my arms and she sits in my lap and lays her head on my chest. I never really let people hug me or cuddle me, but Dorthys an exception because she's adorable.

"Found it!" Jane says and walks back, "awwww" Jane says and I laugh, Dorthy stands up and runs to Jane. "It's way past your bed time." She says and hands me the twister board, "I'll be back I'm gonna go put her in bed." She says, someone walks down the stairs and it was Elizabeth,

"Can I play twister with you guys?" She asks and I nod,

Later that night
"Uh truth." I say

"Do you have a crush on anybody?" She asks and I shrug,

"Don't know what it feels like to have a crush." I say and Jane stares at me shocked

"You've never had a crush before? On anyone?" She asks and I nod, "well, say if they laugh or smile at you, it makes your stomach flutter as well as your heart and it makes you blush. And, you feel like you want to be around them all the time." Jane says, I nod. That's how I feel about Jane. Wait do I have a crush on Jane? "so do you have a crush on anyone?" She asks, I nod

"I think so." I say and she squeals

"Tell me, tell me. I promise I won't tell anyone," she says

"Nope, I'm not telling you." I say and she gives me a frown

"You're no fun." She says

"Yeah yeah. Truth or dare?" I ask

"Truth." She says

"if you could get rid of one sibling who would it be?" I ask

"Thomas." She says right after I say the question "hate him, hate him, hate him. He's such a jerk." She says and I nod, she looks at her watch "it's 1:30 we should probably go to bed." She says and I nod, we both get our sleeping bags. "Night Cathy." She says

"Night Jane."

Morning

I wake up after feeling something tickling me. I look up and see Janes face right next to me, she was still sleeping. I sit up, was I just- wait no, no, no. I don't cuddle with anyone. None of this makes sense, why am I all of a sudden feeling happy and smiley around Jane? I like boys not girls. I'm so confused, why does Jane make me confused, why does she make me happy, what is she doing to me? I stand up and walk away from Jane and sit at the table, I run my hand through my hair. I let a tear fall down my face and quickly wipe it away, but it's no use.

5 minutes later
I was sitting at Janes table still crying and I feel a hand on my back, I quickly turn around and saw Jane, "Cathy why are you crying?" She asks

"I don't know." I say, and she sits next to me

"Do you wanna talk about it?" She asks and I shake my head, she holds her arms out and I hug her. I bury my head in her shoulder and she rubs my back, I try to stop myself from crying, "Cathy it's okay just cry, just let it out." She says and I start crying harder, that's something that Dad always said to Mom when she needed to cry. It felt good to just cry and for someone to hold me, it felt nice to have Janes arms wrapped around me, it made me happy, nervous, excited, and a little scared, but I loved it. I could get used to that feeling because it feels amazing.
