Jane POV
1 week later
I giggle and Cathy runs around the house putting up Halloween decorations. "Since when do you decorate for Halloween?" I ask and Cathy smiles,
"Since our wedding is in the month of Halloween!" Cathy exclaims and I giggle once she hugs me, I smile and peck her lips.
"Ew!" Anne exclaims and Millie flicks the back of her head, "what the-"
"Let them be cute," Millie says and I smile.
"Fine," Anne mumbles and Millie looks at me. I give her a thumbs up, just tell her. I mouth, she had come to me nervous about telling Anne she liked her and she wanted advice but was too nervous to ask her mom.
What if she says no?
She won't.
"Wanna see my new painting?" Anne asks and Millie nods, Anne grabs her hand and pulls her upstairs. Mae and Kat walk through the door and Mae shakes her head looking in pain.
"I can't believe you did that." Kat says and Mae looks at me,
"So Mom. Mama. You will be getting a call from the school-"
"What did you do?!" Cathy asks and Mae sighs,
"Beat a bitch up. That's what I did." Mae says and Cathy glares, "she deserves that name." Mae mumbles and I catch a glimpse of her knuckles.
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaim and grab her hand, she hisses in pain. "Come here," I say and she follows me and I pick her up. She groans and I set her on the counter.
"Awwww little Mae to short to get to the counter!" Kat teases and Mae glares,
"Who wants to explain?" Cathy asks hanging up the phone, Kat raises her hand.
"This girl was being mean to Allison calling her names that people shouldn't be called so Mae heard and she shoved her against the locker and beat her up." Kat says and we both stare at Mae,
"And I'd do it again," Mae mumbles.
"You are in the sixth grade!" Cathy exclaims and Mae smiles,
"And you're so quiet and short!" I exclaim and Mae glares at me,
"I'm not that short."
"You're Mom said the same thing and look at her! She's a bean!"
"I AM NOT A BEAN AND I COULD TEAR YOU INTO PIECES IF I WANTED TOO!" Cathy yells and I look at Mae,
"That's where you get it from." I whisper and kiss her head. "Next time tell someone and they can do something about it." I whisper and Mae nods,
"I'm sorry." She whispers and she gets off the counter once I put an ice pack on it.
"You better go tell that to your Mama," I whisper in her ear and she walks over to Cathy. I look over at Mae to see her fiddling with her bracelet, something she does when she's nervous. "You feeling okay Kat?" I ask and Kat doesn't seem to hear me so I walk over to Kat and kiss her head. "Kat?" I ask and she looks up,
"Yeah?" She asks,
"You feeling alright?" I ask and Kat nods smiling,
"Yeah." She whispers and I smile,
"M'kay." I say and Kat stands up and hugs me, "how much homework do you have?" I ask and she groans, I giggle and she stops hugging me and grabs her bag.
"C'mom Mae!" Kat exclaims and Mae frowns and follows her.
"Did you ground her?" I ask and Cathy goes back to decorating,
"'Course I did!" Cathy exclaims and I giggle,
"Hey Cathy." I say and she looks at me, "a week until our wedding." I whisper and Cathy squeals and jumps in my arms, I laugh and catch her. She wraps her arms around my neck and her legs around my stomach, "you're very beautiful." I say and she blushes,
"Stop doing that." Cathy whispers and I peck her lips, I hear Anne squealing and Millie runs downstairs and out the door. Anne runs downstairs with the biggest smile on her face and she jumps up and down screaming.
"SHE KISSED ME! SHEKISSEDMESHEKISSEDMESHEKISSEDME!" Anne screams and I set Cathy down.
"She did?" I ask and Anne nods and squeals. I laugh and then frown, "stop growing!" I exclaim and she hugs me.
