2 weeks later
Mae POV
I run over to the swings with Kat and she makes it there before me so I go to sit down but someone pushes me out of the way. I scrape my hand and get tears in my eyes to see Thomas sitting on the swing. "Get out the way Mae." Thomas says and starts swinging, I look at Kat and she gets off the swing and hugs me. I smile and hug back,
"Thomas!" Someone shouts and runs over, she pushes Thomas off the swing and sticks her tongue out and sits on the swing.
"Allison! That's not nice!" Thomas exclaims and Allison looks at me with a smile and I feel my face warming up.
"And I care because? You did the same thing to Mae."
"Yeah but she wasn't on the swing yet!" Thomas exclaims and I stop hugging Kat and we both look at the girl named Allison.
"So that makes it okay? You still hurt Mae. Look at her hand." Allison says and I look back as Thomas who was looking at my hand, "you should apologize." Allison says and Thomas crosses his arms and shakes his head, "Thomas." Allison says and Thomas glares,
"You can't tell me what to do Allison." THoMaS says and Allison gets off the swing and I look at it and she nods. I run towards it and sit down and Kat sits on the one she was sitting on.
"Fine then. Don't apologize. Wait until I get home and tell your Mom-"
"Fine! Mae, I'm sorry." He says and I shrug, he walks away and I look at Allison who sits on the swing next to Kat.
"H-hi," I say and Allison smiles and waves,
"How'd you get to Thomas to apologize?" Kat asks and Allison smirks and starts swinging in the swing,
"Thomas is my cousin. He's a jerk though so I don't like him." Allison says and I smile, Allison looks at me. Her eyes look like icicles.
"Woah! You're eyes are so cool!" Kat exclaims and I nod, she smiles. "Allison?" Kat asks and Allison smiles,
"Yeah?"
"Wanna be our friend?" Kat asks and Allison nods her head,
"Yeah!" Allison exclaims and I smile, she smiles and I feel my face warming up and butterflies in my stomach.
After school
I smile and Allison walks over to her dad and waves at me and Kat. I smile and look at my hand which now has 2 bandaids on it. "Does it hurt?" Kat asks and I nod, "oh look there's Mommy and Mama!" Kat exclaims and I look at her and she snaps her fingers, "I mean Cathy." Kat says and Anne walks over to her us laughing as Millie grips onto her shoulder trying not to fall.
"There's my mom! See ya!" Millie says and walks as fast as she can without falling over to her Mom, I lean over to Kat.
"You can call Mama, Mama. But just around us for right now." I whisper and she nods, she runs over to Jane and I run over to Mama who smile and picks me up. I giggle and she kisses my head, she gasps and I look at her. "What?" I ask and she looks at my hand.
"What happened?" She asks and I frown,
"Thomas pushes me." I say and Mama frowns, I frown and kiss her cheek. "But it's okay, Kat gave me hugs and Allison got THoMaS to apologize and she gave me really cool bandaids!" I exclaim showing her, "see they've got butterflies!" I exclaim and Mama looks at me confused,
"Who's Allison?" Mom asks and I smile and I feel butterflies in my stomach.
"Sh-she's our fr-friend," I say and Kat nods and Mama sets me down and we all walk over to Janes car.
At Janes house
Cathy POV
I laugh and Jane peppers kisses all over my face and Anne looks up from her tablet and squeals. She jumps off the couch and runs over to us, "Cathy! Have you finally decided?!" Anne asks and I look at Jane who was confused but I nod my head,
"Yes. Yes I did." I say and Anne squeals and hugs me, I laugh and kiss her head. "You're sister and Mae don't know yet so you can't tell." I say and Anne nods her head excitedly,
"I can keep secrets! I'm good at doing that!" She exclaims and I giggle and she runs over to the couch.
"What does she mean make up your mind?" Jane asks and I blush,
"When I said no Anne came in and asked me a question and I made up my mind." I say and Jane smiles,
"Well what was the question?" Jane asks and I put the food in the oven and peck Janes lips,
"That's for me and Anne to know and you to find out." I say and she glares,
"I hate you," she mumbles and I giggle and boops her nose.
"Sure you do Janey," I whisper.
Mae POV
"Mae-Mae!" Kat exclaims and I look at her, "guess what?" Kat asks and I shrug, "I'm gonna ask Mommy if Allison can come over on the weekend and you'll be here because you and Mama stay the night all the time." Kat says and she looks at me, "you and Mama should just move in with us." Kat says and I nod, she smiles and grabs some paper. "I'll be right back!" Kat exclaims and I nod as she runs out. I smile and walk over to her window and stand on my tiptoes to see Allison. I smile and she looks around, I wave and she smiles and waves pointing to her dog and I giggle. Suddenly her dog starts running and she gets pulled along and someone runs after her and I laugh.

Random Fact: so too add on to the random fact of I start school in three days and I don't know who my teachers are. YEAH- I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT CLASSES IM DOING OTHER THAN MATH, SIENCE, ELA, AND SOCIAL STUDIES- JFOSNDKSKSKZ.
