"Ganda mo," he said.

I blinked thrice before I decided to laugh. I laughed until I couldn't breathe. His face remained impassive.

"Joke 'yon?" I asked, serious.

He just shrugged. He went straight to Engineer Riaza and ate with him.

"What the hell was that?" I uttered to myself as I exited the restaurant.

Did he just flirt with me? What was that? Lowkey flirting? Or maybe that was just a simple praise? Juliet and Rum told me that I was pretty, too. And that doesn't mean na nakikipaglandian sila sa akin? Plus, he told Engineer Riaza that he has already a girlfriend.

Am I assuming? Or he is just a jerk? Well, I'd go for the latter.

Kupal niya naman! Sasabihan ako ng maganda tapos magkikibit-balikat? Parang bobo.

Padarag akong umupo nang makapasok kami sa gondola lift. Si Juliet ay umupo sa harapan ko upang maging balanse. Tumingin na lamang ako sa labas at pinagmasdan ang lupa na lumalayo sa amin. Ang Resort ay nakapuwesto sa pinakatuktok ng bundok na dinadaanan namin ngayon.

Nang bahagyang nanginig ang sinasakyan namin, nakaramdam ako ng kaba. Simula noong nangyari ang aksidente, halos lahat na lang ng bagay ay nahahaluan ng pangamba.

As soon as we reached the Ski Resort, we immediately took pictures. I stood in front of Hakodateyama Ski Resort's arch. I wore my white beret and made insta-worthy poses.

I was trembling while posing because of the low temperature. Mabuti na lamang at makapal ang coat na suot ko. Pero kahit na lamig na lamig na, pinagpatuloy ko ang pagngiti sa camera.

When I tried to place my one leg in front, I lost my balance. Juliet laughed when I fell to the ground. I laughed at myself, too.

When we reached the entrance, we stared at each other. We don't have idea what to do now.

"Sanay ka mag-ski?" she asked.

"Hindi. Eh ikaw?" I fired back, the breath vapor from my mouth was very thick and visible.

"Hindi din. Eh snowboarding, sanay ka?"

I shook my head. "Hindi din. Ikaw?"

"Hindi din."

I slapped the air when I heard her answer. What the hell! Bakit siya nag-aya rito, kung ganoon? At bakit naman ako um-oo?

"So what are we going to do now?" I asked, already losing my patience.

"Kumain na muna tayo? Tapos sa pambata na lang tayo. Sayang ang pagpunta."

I agreed with her plan. Before we went to the kid's park, we had our lunch in the food court.
