5. Intimidation or Disappointment?

Jk was sitting in his room alone and was scrolling on the phone. Guys went home to take care of the captured men and Scott was staying with Jk now. He went downstairs in the cafeteria to have something though he didn't want to but Jk insisted he is going to be just fine and he is already feeling a lot better. At least better to take down 4-5 men easily.

The door of his VIP door were knocked. He somehow couldn't help but grin, expecting Dr. Reinhart to do her rounds, so he quickly asked anyone who was behind the door to come in.

But as soon as the doors were opened, his grin was now in frown. It was her assistant and residents with the same nurses but Dr. Reinhart wasn't in sight.

The assistant of her's came forward and checked Jk's gunshot wound hesitantly as Jk's eyes were glaring at all of them. Not that he was intimidating them but he was disappointed to know that his own Dr. didn't come and check up on him.

"You are healing fast sir" The assistant somehow managed to smile and said that.

"Hmm, but why today my Dr. isn't here?" Did he feel awkward saying that? No. He couldn't care less what they thought after all he is just asking for his Dr., not for their kidney.

"She has lectures to give today, so she sent us. Usually, when one doctor is busy somewhere else, the substitute Dr. fills the place but Dr. Reinhart said that it isn't needed for your case. If you want I can ask the substitute Dr. to come in" Matt, the assistant explained the situation.

"No, it's okay" He said while looking at his phone screen again while giving expressionless face which made the staff even more flustered at the situation.

They sure did wonder how Dr. Reinhart even managed to tame this inked beast. They bowed a bit and left the room, leaving him all alone with his thoughts.

He very well knew that Dr. Reinhart was very understanding. He knew the reason why she said no to the other Dr. because she must have known that Jk won't be comfortable, plus the Dr. would be in danger as well if he sees his face. And it was true, Jk wouldn't leave more and more people alone who have seen his face.

He trusted the staff just because of his Dr. She did gain his trust, benefitting every staff's lives. Soon Scott came in and they started talking about what to do with their boss who tried to cross them though the answer was really simple, but they wanted to make it tortuous and painful.

But somewhere or the other, Jk was definitely thankful, doesn't matter if it is even 1%, that he got to meet such an interesting Dr.

At night
************************************************************

Jk got out of the room with Scott to take a stroll in the hospital for fresh air. The hospital was huge and elegant, even the aroma was nice. Not smelly at all, clean and hygienic.

Soon Jk stopped and so did Scott following his actions. He stopped because he heard a very familiar name "Dr. Reinhart"

He hid behind a wall with Scott and listened to the staff who seemed happy about something.

"Ya man, I wish I had night duty yesterday. I heard that Dr. Reinhart was iconic. Her staffs won't stop talking about how great their new professor is. Plus see, Dr. Reinhart is again treating her staff in her dorm" one guy uttered who was standing behind the reception table of that floor.

"Guys guess what? They all are dancing and enjoying too. Damn seriously. She is so cool. And look at our professor, boring. I don't even remember when they last time took us out for lunch or dinner." A woman, must be in her early thirties came running and told the news.

"What? Dancing? Woahhhh, she really is one of us hun? Youth." The same guy behind the counter exclaimed.

"Ya who would believe she is just 25?" Another girl beside that guy spoke.

"Where are their dorms? I wanna see her" the girl asked that woman who broke the news earlier.

"Just right down the hall, end of the hallway. I must say she dances fabulously. She even did flips from the upper bed as if some professional dancer or stunt woman"

Just like that the guys kept rambling and bitching about their respective professors while Jk started walking down the hall with the help of Scott.

"Jk, I don't think you should walk around this much" Scott said in worrying tone

"Bro please, just help me" he said and as usual Scott being Scott, melted.

As they reached near their destination, the sound of the music became louder but not much loud.

Jk stood behind the door with Scott and they both peeked inside the supposedly party hall.

Her assistant had something furry around his neck and was doing funny dance, three nurses were jumping on their respective beds, well for then it was dancing, Dr. Reinhart residents were busy dancing with her. The three of them were doing kind of pair dance. Then the song stopped and they groaned as the phone of the nurse rang which was connected to the speakers.

She bowed and asked for apologies and stood in the end of the room talking on her phone. Seeing the faces of her staffs Reinhart started raping the song which was playing earlier and drumming on the table with her forks and spoons. The other guy Yeonjun joined her in rapping as well and just like that the atmosphere was awesome again.

And as the nurse said, Dr. Reinhart and her residents were really dancing skill fully.

Just then they saw that the nurse on the phone was about to come out of the room, they escaped from the hallway before that and reached their room.

Scott made Jk sit on the bed while he was groaning due to the pain as he just ran a little bit. Then Scott sat on the chair beside the Jk's bed and they both looked at each other and then started laughing crazily.

They remembered their old days when they started all this right from the bottom, when they used to run just like this after doing something hilarious with local 'badboys'.

"Hey, I am seeing that you are laughing and smiling and chuckling since you have come here. Are you enjoying getting shot?" Scott said

"I guess I am" Jk said while closing his eyes and soon he drifted into his sleep as sedatives starting working again.

~time skip~ (after 4 days)
************************************************************

"You are ready to get discharged Mr. King" Dr. Reinhart informed her patient while smiling.

Jk just nodded in response and then Dr. Reinhart left his room.

"Where is her detailed report?" Jk asked Jimmy.

"Well people are investigating in France, just a little bit more time" Jimmy informed while munching on his apple.

Jk changed into his clothes and they all left the hospital while RM took care of all the formalities and Jimmy erased their arrival from the hospital. No proof left behind.

Flashback ends (present day)
************************************************************

"So what now?" Jimmy asked

"It's time to get what I want bro. What else?" Jk smirked to the white ash blonde guy who just read the whole biodata of a random doctor he met few weeks ago in a hospital.
