Well the months leading up to the wedding were probably the most stressful months of my life, and considering my job description that was saying something.

I thought that it was the groom's job to accompany the bride to everything but apparently Stacey wanted Tristan and me there as well so we were forced to attend cake tastings, dance rehearsals, help pick out the theme and decorations, and since I was maid of honor I had to go to the dress fittings, which were complete torture. It took eight stores for Stacey to realize that she wanted to design her dress herself. So there went hours of my life I was never getting back.

She barely let me sleep it was non stop wedding planning. I was surviving on so much caffeine I swear every time someone saw me I had a cup of coffee in my hand and my eye was twitching.

Tristan and I did manage to escape for a weekend about two months prior to the wedding and when Stacey found us M.I.A. that close to the wedding well she wasn't pleased to put it lightly.

But it was the best weekend of my life that I couldn't even care too much that we upset the bride.

He could have taken us to some private beach or Paris or jetted us across the ocean but instead he drove us to a beautiful secluded cabin in the mountains. It was the middle of June so the trees were full and green and made the surrounding area beautiful. I'm sure it would be a great place to come in the Winter.

We pulled up and I glanced over at him grinning. He winked and got out coming around to open my door. It's funny how much has changed between us over the last few months. How easy it's been to be in love and not be afraid to show it.

I've been giving more assignments to the girls and staying with Tristan more to help him run things and it's made us stronger as a couple and as alphas. I haven't given up that part of my life completely but it's harder to come home from assignments and act like it hasn't affected me. It's been hard to give up something that's been a part of my life for so long but that is my past and Tristan is my future and I'll do whatever it takes to keep him.

We grabbed our bags from the back seat and I was bouncing with excited as I waited for him to unlock the door. He was chuckling as I bounded past him into the house. It was just as gorgeous on the inside. It had a rustic charm that made me feel at home.

"Like it?" He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek.

"I love it!" I turned and kissed him quickly before skipping to one of the walls, which was made entirely of glass allowing you to see out into the forest.

"Stacey won't look for us here, no one's come here in years. They've all but forgotten it." He smiled and took our bags to our room. I flopped down on the couch and threw my arms over my face.

"Hungry?" He poked my stomach. I swatted his hands away laughing but nodded.

"I asked someone to come up here yesterday to stock up on food so hopefully they got some good stuff." He opened the fridge and nodded in approval.

"Pasta?" He called out.

"Yes please!" I replied and walked into the bedroom. I peaked my head out quickly just to make sure he was busy in the kitchen. I closed the door slightly so that it was still cracked open.

I unzipped my bag and pulled out the lingerie I bought last week. I bit the inside of my cheek in debate and undressed, slipping the lingerie on quickly before putting my dress back on. Gah why was I so nervous. It's not like I've never done this before. You've never loved the others I told myself. Great here we go, talking to myself again. I slipped back into the living room as casually as I could.
