ROWAN POV

Today is officially the first day of senior year, and I can just tell that this one is gonna be a crazy year, what with the 2/5 of the originals in town, and me just discovering the supernatural exists. I walked in with Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena, and we waited outside looking at the school and all the students outside.

"Here we are. Senior year" Caroline said with a small sigh, "Anyone else think this should feel slightly more empowerin" Bonnie said looking at us all, "Okay so prank night was a bust, But we are accepting it, and we're moving on" Caroline said in a small anger tone, "Was last night like normal for you all?" I question them, and they all nod.

"Caroline's right, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriend" Bonnie said, Oh yeah, Jeremy who's Elena's younger brother can see ghosts, he can see his dead vampire ex girlfriend, does this town get any weirder. Caroline looked at Bonnie and said "Yes. And why should I let the fact that m boyfriend was turned into a hybrid" I laugh and say "I just found out last night that all my new friends are supernatural, and the fact that the supernatural exists"

Bonnie, Caroline and I keep walking and Elena comes to a stop, "Today's our anniversary. Technically Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year" she says with a sad tone. "Yeah you win" I say with a small shrug. We all give Elena a sympathetic look, "Are you sure you want to be here?" Bonnie says with concern. I am if I was Elena I wouldn't wanna be here.

Elena nods and looks at Bonnie "I have to be here. I have to put it behind me" she says with a small smile, Caroline and I smiled, Elena is so strong, I learnt everything that happened to her and she's lost so many people, and has been through so much in her 18 years of life. Elena looks down and forces a smiles "New year, new life"

We all give her sympathetic looks before she nods and walks into the school leaving us behind. "Is she always this closed?" I say with concern in my voice, Caroline looks at me "Yeah, she puts on a good face"

Caroline went with me to the school office so I could pick up my schedule. "Hey Caroline?" I say looking at the blonde, she hms in response, "How are you feeling, I noticed no one asked how you're feeling, you know after the whole Klaus turning Tyler and all" She takes a breath in "I'm fine, which is weird, I shouldn't be fine, like my boyfriend is a hybrid now. But enough about that how are you? Is this overwhelming?" I nod to her "Oh yeah definitely, I didn't expect it to happen, but I guess this is my life now"

We reach the office and I go to the front desk, "Hi my name is Rowan Taylor, I'm new" the lady nods and types into her computer and prints off my schedule and hands it to me, "Have a lovely first day" she says with a smile, I thank her and Caroline and I walk out the office but she stops to put something on the notice board, it said the bonfire.

"I forgot about the bonfire" Elena says walking up to us, "You have to go. It's our first spirit squad event, you're coming too Rowan" Caroline says to us, "What's the bonfire?" I say with curiosity "It's a first day of school thing, at the falls, hopefully this year's one is better than last years" Elena says with a small smile, Yeah Matt's sister Vicki got attacked by Damon. "You have to go Elena, it sets the bar for the whole year-" Caroline says in frantic, Elena chuckles "Relax, Caroline, I'll be there"

I smile and say "I'll come too" Caroline smiles, "Thank you, it's just that-" she's cut of by Tyler swooping in and kissing her, Elena and I at each other and smile awkwardly. "Happy first day" Tyler says while smiling at Caroline, meanwhile Caroline looks confused. I look at Tyler's shirt and notice a red substance, "Tyler what's that on your shirt?" This got Caroline's attention, "Oh my God"

She grabs Tyler and shoves him towards the boys bathroom, Elena and I following behind. "What's going on?" Tyler says confused, Elena checks to make sure no one else is in while I stand next to Caroline who's lecturing Tyler, "Vampire 101, don't wear your breakfast to school" She says and she slaps his shoulders and glares at him. Tyler puts his hands up in defence, "Chill out, it was a blood bag" I look at him in confusion, Oh yeah right, he's a newly vamp, gotta drink from blood bags. But Caroline looked kinda mad "From where?" I say, Tyler looked at me "Rebekah hooked me up"
