THIRTY-SIX

ROWAN POV

We were all sitting outside the Grill, sending graduation letters to our family members. I mean all I've got is Hayley and she's currently been locked up in my house this past week ish. Elena being in the same boat, meanwhile Caroline has heaps to send out. "Stamp please" Caroline says, Elena hands her a stamp. "You guys don't have to pretend to be nice to me. I know this is just a ploy to keep me distracted" Elena says closing the pen lid, "You're done? And you haven't done any? I'm only on my second batch" Caroline says looking at Elena and I.

"We have family friends in Denver. Other than that, no one cares that I'm graduating" Elena admits sadly, "And I've got basically no one except my sister, and my friend Josh from New York, but he has his own school stuff" I say, Caroline's eyebrows raise at the mention of his name. "No Care. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned Josh before, he's gay" I say, Elena and Caroline make the O expression with their mouths. "Do you know where Katherine is?" Elena asks out the blue.

"Elena-" I start but she cuts me off, "If you knew you'd tell me, right Ro?" Elena says, "Elena you're obsessing" Caroline tells her. "Listen to me guys, if you know where Katherine is, then you have to tell me" Elena says to us, Caroline and I look at each, "We don't know where she is" I tell Elena.

Well all went inside the Grill, Caroline and I went inside the Grill and we're talking to Matt and Rebekah, and we were watching Elena do darts. I can the wind picking up outside, and so can the other two female vampires. "Is it supposed to rain tonight?" Caroline asks, "Do I look like a meteorologist?" Rebekah responds, "Someone needs to do something before she explodes" I tell the group, "I got this" Rebekah says grabbing shots and a glass and walking over to the doppelgänger.

Caroline and I watched and listened in to the conversation they two were having, "We should probably go over" I say, Caroline nods her head, "Definitely" she says. We walk over to the two, "What about us?" Caroline says referring to herself and me. "Are we still friends?" I ask her, Elena doesn't answer. "All those things you said when your humanity was off, is that how you really feel?" I ask kinda hurt.

"I really don't feel like going down memory lane guys" Elena tells us going back to stand back to throw the darts, Caroline and I move out the way and we continue to talk to her. "Well what about when you said and I quote, You're a repulsive, blood-sucking, control freak monster" Caroline says, Elena doesn't respond again. "Did you really mean those things?" Caroline asks hurt. "If you're waiting for an apology, you're not getting one. I can't let myself feel bad, because if I feel bad, then I feel everything. And we've all seem how well I handle that" Elena says throwing another dart.

But as she does that, the power went out, we thought it was just the Grill, so Matt, Caroline, Rebekah and I went outside to look and the whole town was out, it was also really windy. "The power's completely out" Rebekah states, "Way to notice the obvious" I shout over the wind, "I'm gonna call my mom. Maybe she knows what's going on" Caroline shouts getting her phone out and going back inside to call her mother.

I ended up at the school with the gang to stop Bonnie, Stefan and Caroline checked inside, Damon, Elena and I went outside. We eventually went inside since Caroline and Stefan figured out where Bonnie was. I was ahead of them because they were blabbering, but It didn't end so well though because Damon told Elena what to do, and he got staked in the stomach. "Idiot" I said turning back around to help him, only to see someone bet me to it. Alaric.

"Okay this is either really good, or really bad" Damon says, "It's good to see you too, Damon. You as well Rowan" Ric says, I awkwardly wave. "I'd say the feeling was mutual, except a lot of people aren't exactly who they say they are around here" Damon says. "You think I'm Silas? He thinks I'm Silas?" Ric says turning to me, "Well are you?" I say crossing my arms. Ric goes to the lockers behind us and opens it, and he brings out some bourbon, how did I not know that was there.
