Tae's P.O.V
Taehyung couldn't for the life of him find a luggage cart. Anywhere. After all, he thought, this building isn't a hotel.
He began to grow antsy leaving Gemma out there in the cold, and that feeling motivated him to search harder, until he came to what appeared to be the janitor's closet. Looking up and down the hallway, Taehyung opened the unlocked door to find a cart meant for cleaning supplies.
Carefully placing the various bottles on the surrounding shelves, Tae wheeled the cart out of the closet, made sure the coast was clear again, and headed towards the door he entered through.
The idol clasped the door handle, and once he began to push, Taehyung noticed he had to really lean against the door for it to fully open.
All of a sudden, a blast of frozen wind attacked his exposed face, and Taehyung almost tripped over something jutting out of the snow. Bending down slightly, Tae saw it was the jar of pretzels he had gotten, and grew immediately worried that something happened to his roommate.
Guarding his eyes from the fury of Mother Nature, Taehyung squinted in all directions to somehow locate Gem.
"Gemma!!" Taehyung yelled, moving forward. The fallen snow crunched below and around his boots, almost reaching the Korean's calves. He wondered how the weather could get this bad in only a short amount of time.
Then out of nowhere, Taehyung caught sight of a person hunched over near something he guessed was a streetlight. They were limping and staggering at the same time, carrying a load of stuff. Were they drunk?
"Hello?" V called out, hoping his voice wouldn't get carried away in the flurries. He began to progress through the blizzard, planning to approach the mysterious individual.
As he got closer, Taehyung recognized Gemma's white fuzz ball instantly. She was obviously shaking, either from crying or the vicious chill. Only one thought circled around in his head, telling him to protect her. All Taehyung wanted to do in that very moment was to wrap his arms around Gem and tell her everything was okay.
But before he could even get close to her, Taehyung's ears perked at the sound of a car. Its headlights beamed brightly at the two of them as the car rolled around the corner, right into the same ally. His subconscious nagged at him to get to Gem quickly.
Hurry. Just hurry.
And without any warning, Gemma suddenly tumbled over a yellow-glowing object, and before Taehyung knew it, he was racing toward her with all his might, floundering through the packed snow.
"No!"
Gem's P.O.V
There was no impact. I didn't hit the ground. Cracking one eye open, I cringed horribly as a car horn blasted somewhere in front of me, acting like a slap to the face. I was suddenly alert and aware of everything around me.
Hot, quick breath hit my cheek, appearing in white puffs. Someone's arms were tightly wrapped around my body. One at my neck, the other on my waist.
"Taehyung?" I whispered, feeling our hearts beating rapidly as one. I shuddered violently in his arms, cradled from the cruel weather.
