I leaned against my bedroom door, casting my eyes over the room's obvious disarray. My mattress was still bare, more than half of my clothes hadn't left my numerous suitcases, I had no mirror, and I somehow owned a large closet with zero clothing hangers to use, so as a result, I couldn't hang any dresses or coats.

Moving to another country was way harder than I thought. Especially when you forget to bring a pillow.

At this point, I just wanted to lie down on the floor and stay there for as long as possible. My brain felt so jumbled with tasks to complete and I had yet to call the company. And my parents. My Catholic parents, whom would undeniably disapprove of my living situation. Speaking of Catholicism, I still had to find a church to go to mass to for two years, but that could wait till later.

For now, I would love nothing more but to get this sheet successfully onto my bed. However, I'm going to need help from Taehyung, and I really don't want to ask him, but I do want to sleep in my own bed tonight. No matter how comfy his silky sheets were.

Before I summoned his help, I straightened up my luggage, propping my bags along the wall. There wasn't a whole lot to do, so I creaked my door open, already feeling ashamed. I despise asking for assistance when I'm mad at someone. Even more so when it's the person I am upset with.

Sticking my head out into the hallway, I tentatively looked both ways, afraid he was going to pop out of nowhere, and stepped out, hand gripping the door frame.

"Taehyung?" I called out, a big part of me hoping he left the apartment or just went to the bathroom.

But to my contrasting relief and disappointment, he appeared from the living room, holding a curled Yeontan. Taehyung himself looked like an innocent puppy with those eyes, making it difficult to stay mad.

Looking at him, I swallowed, refocusing on the task at hand

Looking at him, I swallowed, refocusing on the task at hand.

"Can you please help me with something real quick?" I asked, looking anywhere but in his direction. He better not be smiling.

"Sure," Taehyung replied, letting Tannie gently down on the floor. His little paws scratched the marble as he scampered along with his owner.

Still not making eye contact, I went back inside my room, bending over to pick up my crinkled sheet. Taehyung entered not much longer after me, arms crossed. A stretch of awkwardness drawled out between us, making me flush with embarrassment.

"I can't put this sheet on by myself." I blurted, puffing my cheeks.

"And?" Taehyung asked, seeming to already know where this was going, but decided to rub it in my face.

"And so I need your help. Please." I crunched the pale blue sheet in my hands, anticipating rejection.

Tae's P.O.V

Taehyung stood there, very amused. Although he enjoyed every bit of Gemma's pleading, Tae kept his facial expression neutral. In the short time he's known her, Taehyung had grown accustomed to the American's charming ego. That was partly due to the fact that he could relate, taking his own elevated pride into consideration.
