A/N: This is a request by brideofharrystyles I had fun with this one too. Thank you for trusting me with writing this for you.

I was making dinner while listening and dancing to my husband's music, and Petunia, our dog, was quite vigilant around me as if she knew food was soon going to be ready. Almost all of the ingredients were out to start, but I couldn't find the salt to season the water where I would be boiling the pasta for the sausage and penne marinara with garlic bread I was making. I was looking for it everywhere when Luke came in the kitchen. He didn't say anything, he just stared as he smiled widely.

"You're adorable!" He exclaimed once I smiled back.

Petunia ran toward him right away so he greeted her while I said, "and you're adorkable! Where did you left the salt?"

He approached as the dog followed him and wrapped his arms around me, "I don't know, you used it last!"

"No I didn't," I giggled, "you meal-prepped today's lunch yesterday 'cause I was doing laundry and finishing some work."

He stopped to think and then he said, "oh, shit, right! I don't know, I guess I lost it," he shrugged.

"Lukey! I cannot believe you! You don't lose your head only 'cause it's stuck to your body!"

"Sorry, sorry," we laughed, "let me help you search."

He kissed my forehead and then started looking for the salt on the cupboards, while I searched the drawers. The salt was definitely not in the kitchen so we started searching in the dining room and the living room. After a while, we were almost giving up when Luke found it on the chest at the entrance, next to the flower vase. It turned out that last night he had left his phone there and when he finished seasoning the food, his phone rang and he went all the way there with the jar of salt.

We ended up cooking together and when we finished eating dinner, Luke suggested we watch some Degrassi. We went to our private sitting room near our bedroom, with an electric fireplace and big TV screen. Luke turned on the popcorn machine before we snuggled up underneath our very cozy blankets with Petunia in the middle.

We loved doing that as much as we could. We were a cute little family just us and our lovely dog, until we started growing and our private sitting room became the nursery room for our first baby girl, Kendra Lynn Hemmings. Life got more and more complicated, with more and more responsibilities, it just never stayed the same. We needed to move to a bigger house as Kendra grew older. She was five and we had planned on only having her or waiting a little bit more to have another child, but we still needed a bigger house for her to play around and also a better neighborhood that could offer a more family-center atmosphere.

Like every other married couple, we've had problems, we fight, we make-up, but lately my anxiety and trust issues have resurfaced and I've been keeping them a secret. I know secrets are no good for nobody, but I don't want to lose Luke and I've been so uncertain, dwelling on the past and overthinking every word and every action. I have even felt jealous of the women producers working at the studio since they interact a lot more with the band and Luke than I do, even when I work there with them since I am the Creative Music and Licensing Strategy Coordinator.

Flash forward to today, another secret that I kept from Luke for a week and a half since I haven't gotten my period yet. I went two days ago to the doctor to have a blood pregnancy test and I found the results on the mail that my assistant brought me this morning. I haven't opened it yet because I'm so scared to know it is positive. We are just not in a place to have another child, with the fast-paced life we're in now. Luke and the band are finishing recording the album and then they will be promoting the singles, then the album, and then doing a couple of small local concerts after the release as an introduction to the world tour, so it will be hard to not have him around. With Kennie, we planned it all right and he got to be there for a long time and that's what we look forward to plan with a possible second child. However, I couldn't keep this secret for longer, I needed to know before it was too late.
