We left the gym and I went to my room to have a shower. After I was done I put on my trusty jeans and plain t-shirt. I rolled the sleeves up so it became a tank top. I pulled on my boots and laced them tightly. I ran my fingers through my waist length black hair, not bothering to properly brush it. I left my room and almost ran into the pack member that was standing outside my door.

"Alpha Damien would like to see you in his office." He told me. He sounded kind of scared. I rolled my eyes. Who does Damien think he is? I pushed past the pack member and made my way to the office. I remember it from when I used to live here. I didn't even knock. I pushed open the doors and stepped inside.

"You have some nerve summoning me." I growled as I crossed my arms over my chest. He sat back in his large, leather chair and sighed.

"I didn't know." He said softly. My growl faltered.

"You didn't know what?"

"I didn't know how much the rejection would hurt you. I thought it would just be a stab of pain and it would be over." His voice was barely louder than a whisper. I laughed but it had no humour in it.

"You clearly didn't do your research." I scoffed. He hung his head and we fell into silence. I could his heartbeat. It was slow. I could feel the sadness and regret radiating off of him. Doesn't mean I'm going to crack.

"I was hoping we could maybe start again." He told me. I laughed. He can't be serious.

"Fat chance. I want you to feel everything I had to feel. I want you to know what I had to go through because of your idiocy." He didn't look at me.

"It's the least I deserve." My heart skipped a beat. What happened to the angry Alpha that was here before? Suddenly he's surrendering? Why?

"Why aren't you fighting me?" I asked, genuinely curious. He looked up and I could see tears in his eyes.

"Because you're my mate. I want you in my life. I don't want you to hate me. If this is what it takes then so be it." I was taken aback. I felt my own eyes beginning to water. I looked away from him and ground my teeth. I don't want to cry. I don't want to feel for him. He hurt me. I was angry.

"You don't get to call me that." My voice was low and hard.

"Jack-" I whipped around to look at him.

"I hate you!" The heartbreak in his face was immediately visible. My tears were rolling down my cheeks, I couldn't hold them back. We were interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Alpha Damien? Alpha Cameron is here to talk to you again." A female voice said. Damien cleared his throat and composed himself.

"Bring him up." His voice didn't waver. I heard the girl walk away. I turned and left the office. I couldn't look at him anymore. I made it halfway up the stairs before I caught the Alpha's scent. It's the Alpha from before. I smelt the air again and I grinned when I caught the tall one's scent. I went back down to the office and silently opened the door slightly. They didn't hear me and their backs were to me. They definitely would have smelt me if my scent wasn't hidden. I snuck into the office and Damien's eyes locked on me. I crept up behind the tall one and put my lips beside his ear.

"Hello again." I purred. He whipped around with narrowed eyes. Immediately his hand was on my throat and I was shoved against the door.

"I knew you couldn't wait to do this again." I chuckled.

"Nate? What are you doing?" His Alpha asked. I grinned.

"Nate? I like that name." His hand tightened with a growl.

"This is the rogue that attacked us." He told his Alpha. Alpha Cameron growled. I reached forward and caressed Nate's chest. He quickly pinned my hand to the door.

"What gave you the right to attack my men?" Alpha Cameron demanded. I looked at him, the grin still on my lips.

"I was bored." I said simply. He turned to Damien.

"Why do you have a rogue in your pack house" He demanded. Damien sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

"She's my mate." In an instant Nate's hands were off of me. I pouted.

"Come on, Nate. I wasn't complaining." Nate growled at me and I stuck my tongue out at him.

"You have to reject her." Alpha Cameron stated as he crossed his arms over his chest. Been there, done that.

"I can't. She's my mate." Damien argued.

"I'll leave you ladies to discuss this." I said as I turned to the door. In a second Nate pinned me to the door again, his hand against my throat. I wrapped my hand around his wrist.

"You're not going anywhere." Alpha Cameron growled. He turned back to Damien and I tuned them out while I looked into Nate's intense eyes. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer until our faces were almost touching.

"You pretend to be strong you know." I whispered. He didn't look happy.

"What? I am strong." He replied in an equally quiet voice.

"You were beaten up by a girl." I reminded him. I pulled him closer until his ear was by my mouth.

"And I will more than happily do it again." I taunted as I dug my claws into his wrist. I instantly smelt blood.

"Jack." My eyes met Damien's. He gave me a begging look.

"Please don't." I rolled my eyes. I took Nate by surprise when I shoved him off me. I left the office and went to my room.

Damien won't let me have any fun.
