I've been here for a month now and I'm having fun making Damien's life difficult. The pack has gotten used to me being around and being a general pain in Damien's ass. They all knew who I was. They all knew I was dead. I was standing in the kitchen waiting to begin my daily torment of Damien. This one was a doozy.

"Morning." Damien grumbled as he walked in. I grinned. Time to shine. For the first time in three years, I stopped hiding my scent. Damien had never smelt me post-shift. My scent was intense and you could smell the power that I held. Because Damien is my mate, it will drive him crazy. I watched as his body froze. I could hear him smelling the air greedily. He turned to me, his eyes amber. They were flickering between his normal eyes and his wolf eyes. He was struggling to keep control.

"What are you doing?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"Hm? I was going to get some breakfast." I replied innocently. He took a step towards me and I looked up at him.

"Stop this." I chuckled.

"Why should I?" His eyes kept flickering. His hands were in tight fists and shaking violently.

"Because otherwise my wolf will come out and I won't be able to control him." Ooo now that I'd like to see. I stepped towards him until there was barely a breath of air between us. His face was barely an inch away from mine.

"What's he going to do about it?" I purred. His eyes stopped flickering and stayed amber. His arms shot out and wrapped around me, pulling me flush against him.

"Mine." He growled, his voice much deeper than it was before.

"Says who?" I taunted. He bared his teeth at me. I stood on my toes and gently nipped at his skin where his shoulder meets his neck, the place where my mark would have gone. His entire body shuddered. His head dipped down. When his lips were about to meet mine I hid my scent and got out of his grip. I walked away leaving him standing in the kitchen stunned. It's just too easy to wind him up. I love this. I went to Ryan's room and pushed the door open. He was lying on his bed watching a movie.

"What did you do to Damien?" He asked as soon as he recognised me. I gasp with false outrage.

"I have done nothing to him." I said as I put my hand over my heart. I soon cracked and laughed.

"Why do you ask?"

"Because his mind link is open and while most of the pack is tuned out to him, I can't be. His wolf will not stop yelling about mating with you." He told me. I laughed even louder. I held on to my stomach as a stitch began to form. This is great.

"I let him smell me. I almost kissed him. His wolf was in control." I told him between hoots of laughter. He began to laugh with me.

"You're evil."

"Where is she?!" We both flinched when we heard a yell from downstairs. It sounded like Damien's wolf. Sounds like I'm in trouble.

"You should probably go." Ryan told me as he started pushing me towards the door. I just nodded and went downstairs. I found Damien standing in the open space between the kitchen and the lounge room. His chest was heaving up and down, growls bouncing off the walls. I could see one of his friends trying to calm him down. His name was Dylan. He's about 6'1" like Damien.

"Looking for me?" I asked with a smug grin. They looked at me and Damien immediately started running at me. I narrowly avoided his grasp and ran past him and out the front door. I could hear him running after me. I looked over my shoulder to see him shift into his blonde wolf. I just laughed. I stopped running and turned around. He skidded to a stop before he could run into me. He growled. I sent him a playful growl back. He shifted back. He was completely naked but I managed to keep my eyes locked on his.

"Why are you doing this to me?! You're killing me!" He yelled.

"Yeah? You literally killed me." I shot back, feeling smug. He walked forward and grabbed my hands.

"Why can't you give me a chance to prove that I've changed? I want you, Jack." His voice turned soft.

"No." I don't want to.

"Why? We're supposed to love each other." Is he serious?

"Says the man who rejected me on the spot." I scoffed. He threw his hands into the air.

"Ok! I get it! I'm a fucking dumbass! I made a terrible choice! I was young!" He yelled at me. I didn't reply. At least he's admitting it.

"You know what? Forget it." He said before turning and walking back to the pack house. I couldn't help the small pang of sadness that I felt ripple through me. I shook my head to rid myself of it. I shoved my hands into my pockets and started to walk around the territory.

After about 20 minutes I caught a scent by the border. My heart sped up. Not much makes me afraid but that scent is definitely one of them. I backed away as a familiar man stepped out of the bushes. My breathing started to become erratic. That same sadistic smile I remember was on his face. For an entire year he had held me as his prisoner. He tortured me relentlessly. He tried to break me. He wanted me to give in. He wanted me to be his mate. He's where I got a lot of my scars.

"Hello again, Jaqueline. I've been looking for you." The rogue in front of me said in a sweet voice. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Thomas."
