Ysa's

I can't express how happy I am because... vacation has already come! I bet that this is also what the other students have thought after leaving their classrooms for a long mean time. Everyone was talking about their plans for the weekend, shopping, bars and many more.

Well, I can't say the same for me. I have many plans for this summer, but I don't have the freedom to do so. It's either I'm with them or I'm with my brother, or with any relatives of ours. Strictly no friends, boring right?

Kaya ngayon? This has always been the scenario in my summer vacation whenever there are no business trips or gatherings. Kaya wala talaga akong ibang masulat sa summer vacation essay no'ng highschool ako kundi puro business trip at business gathering lang.

I reached for my phone when I felt it vibrate. It was a message from my brother.

Rudy Suarez: Business gathering tomorrow, pack up.

Speaking of.

I stretched before getting off the bed. Inilabas ko ang maleta ko na may laman na, I never leave it empty just in case of times like this. So... I'm all set!

Tomorrow came and I've had a good night sleep. I decided to wear a black fitted dress under a beige coat and beige stilettos. I believe myself, I believe my instincts. But still, it better be.

"Am I free to wander around?" tanong ko kay kuya Rudy na busy sa pagtitipa sa kanyang phone. He didn't reply and continued to type, nabingi na.

He gazed at me. "Wala akong makausap sa tuwing bored ako, what do you expect me to do? Talk to myself?"

I let out a mocking laugh. "Computerized 'yang kausap mo, laging may nakahandang reply 'yan! Do you think you can talk to that the way that you want to? Puro kalokohan kaya 'yan!"

He shrugged.

But, never mind. He would always tell me that his secretary can handle everything.

I decided to buy myself some foods to ease the boredom I'm starting to feel. Good to know that I'm not gaining weight from all the food I've been eating.

"Ysa?"

Napalingon ako sa pinaggalingan ng boses. I saw a woman in her mid 30s in a formal attire, beaming at me. I glanced sideways to see if she was really talking to me. Apparently, she was. Well, this is awkward.

She chuckled. "Malamang ay hindi mo na ako maalala. I'm your mother's friend, Ella Robles."

"Oh, I barely recognized you, tita. Mas lalo ka pong gumanda." I cooed. Ang plastik, gosh. I'm never used to meeting business partners even though I always meet ones. I just... dislike to have so many people in my life.
