Next day. at Snow's. 

I eyed Charming worried "you okay, Charming?"

He kept pacing around. 

Me "David?"

Charming turned to me  "i don't know. So..Hook, he...killed my father? okay, that's a little tough to process"

I nodded "i know what you mean. But seeing the pain in your eyes makes me wish i didn't tell you the first place"

Charming shook his head "no ,no, you did the right thing. "

I nodded. 

Charming "where the hell is Hook anyway ?he didn't have the guts to tell me himself?"

I looked at my empty ring finger. 

Charming "Echo?"

I looked at him "He left town"

Charming froze "what?"

I nodded "you heard me. We had the biggest argument ever and i ended it"

Charming looked at me confused. 

Me "i caught him trying to burn a dreamcatcher that held the memory of him killing your father. And by the looks of it we're not going to see the pirate anytime soon because Leroy saw him on the docks going on the Nautilus. "

Charming hugged me "i am so sorry, Echo"

I hugged him back "i know, David"

At home. 

Regina walked in "i've got just the thing to mend a broken heart. "

I nodded "great, now go find someone to use it on"

Regina looked at me, smiling. 

I shook my head "there's no spell strong enough to fix my broken heart, Reg"

Regina smirked "well, who said anything about magic?"

Then she showed us a paper "it's a 2-for-1 drink coupon at that new pub. Aesop's Tables. it'd be a shame to waste it."
