Lina warily made her way to the kitchen, head on a swivel as she searched for her soulmate. She remained tense as her eyes remained wide with anticipation, but when she found that Haechan wasn't there, she let out a languid sigh- letting her high shoulders drop.

Her eyes drifted towards the fridge, and she hastily sped towards it in hopes to grab breakfast then escape the charms of Valentine's Day.

On that spectacular day, romance was keen. Lina was never that interested in all of the mushy stuff, nor was she at good at it, but it's not like she had much of a choice; on this particular day, every pair of soulmates are just drawn to each other.

Of course, soulmates were already known to be greatly attracted to their other half, but, for a reason science can't explain, such an attraction becomes rather strong, even if you aren't romantically involved.

Commonly, platonic soulmates, which usually end up dating, will declare that anything that happened on the specific day showed no significance, and blatantly blamed it on the holiday- but it's frequently quite obvious that each pair is in love; a lot of soulmates go through denial.

But, enough of that, she was going to attempt to avoid the human race for the day to prevent herself from doing anything stupid.

Swinging open the freezer door, the girl's eyes raked over the contents of it when her eyes fell upon a box of frozen waffles, promptly snatching them into her grip.

Wheeling around, she dropped two into a toaster, lazily awaiting for the familiar pop that signified the completion of their preparation.

Once they shot up from the toaster, Lina quickly seized the warm waffles from the toaster's grip, promptly biting it like a cookie, because who eats frozen waffles like a normal waffle?

Taking a step backwards, the girl yelped quietly when she found herself crash into the chest of an already-recognized figure.

Suddenly tensing, Lina's eyes widened as she felt herself practically sink into his hoodie, holding her breath as she inhaled the scent of gunpowder and smoke, feeling encased by it.

Heat seemed to radiate off of him, sending waves of warmth to surge through her, and truthfully, she couldn't say she hated it.

Ever heard the term 'love was in the air?'

That might be the best way to describe it.

The oxygen that she breathed seemed to vibrate with unfathomed feelings, and she inhaled it all- almost as if was a drug that lured her closer to him, itching to turn towards the boy.

It was addicting; he was addicting.

Almost like she desperately needed him to survive, she felt attached to him; tied together, which, in a sense, they were. Despite that, being around him felt right, as if she was always meant to be with him, and she never wanted to leave his side, even if she wanted to want that.

Her eyebrows were drawn together in concentration as she tried not to fall into the alluring trace that could only be described as infatuation, yet she felt her slipping into a desire to have him; to belong to him.

Lips pursed together as her mind fought against her heart- her head logically argued that nothing good could come out of falling for what she would describe to be a maniac, but her heart viciously fought back, screeching that he was her soulmate; he was, quite literally, made for her.

Lazily noticing her frozen, torn state, a husky, deep chuckle shook Haechan's chest, sending mini tremors spreading through Lina.

Haechan's impish gaze raked over the side of her face, a smirk twisted upon his lips as he watched her internally fight herself, finding it quite entertaining.

"Confusing, isn't it?" Haechan uttered tantalizingly, eyes observing every emotion of her's that both passed his face, and was mirrored within himself- courtesy to the soulmate bond.

Tilting his head as his smug smile only grew, Haechan's fingers brushed across Lina's cheek, trailing down to her chin as he guided her to turn around- only with his index finger.

Immediately submitting to him, Lina shuffled around until she faced him, his pointer finger still supporting her chin as her big, puppy eyes stared up at him.

Lips quirking up even more so, Haechan's dangerously blank eyes seemed to scan her so thoroughly that Lina was sure that he could see her thoughts and was exploring her brain, learning it like the back of his hand.

It was terrifying, really; imagine someone could see all of your darkest fears, deepest secrets, and worst faults, and they were free to judge it all, learning every single inch of your brain without fault. She felt exposed, as if her entire life was out in the open for him to observe, deciding what he liked and didn't- everything that made you you, not a front, was compiled into a vast file for him to rifle through.

That's what Lina felt like; watched.

Everyone has a natural urge to wish to be understood, it's human nature, but to be known to the extent that he let on was utterly horrifying; it was as if he knew everything you desperately wanted to hide, everything you hated about yourself, and had the job to deduce what kind of person you were.

Yet she couldn't help but feel... mesmerized by him. As if a gravitational pull was drawing her towards him, she couldn't tear her gaze from his mischievous eyes, finding the way they twinkled with malice fascinating.

Like a single, small star among the darkness of the night, a malevolent manifestation of amusement glimmered across his enthralling orbs, attracting the girl's utter attention to his seemingly endless eyes; his eyes seemed as vast as space itself, and she could feel herself falling into their void.

Haechan's eyebrow cocked upwards as he watched her seem to drift into a daze- eyes distant as she lost herself within his irises, face going slack, and she leaned subconsciously towards him, feeling physically pulled towards him.

"I'm not good for you, Love," He murmured lowly, smirk growing.

Haechan leaned closer to her, lips hovering over her ear as her eyes fluttered shut.

"But you don't seem to mind," He mumbled, voice barely above a whisper.
