Chapter 29 - Suprise

Lorenzo POV:
It's been two months since my wife and I's re-wedding as we jokingly call it. We celebrated Elias's twentieth birthday last week by taking him out to dinner at Francesca's.

I was in my bedroom when my wife walked out of the bathroom holding something white, her face full of joy and confusion. "Mia Regina are you okay?" I asked her.

"Lorenzo...." she handed me the white thing she was holding. It was a pregnancy text, that was positive. "I'm pregnant."

I looked at her shocked. I stood up and pulled her into a hug. "Baby, I love you so much." I told her before kissing her. I can't believe I was having another kid. I couldn't wait. I knew the boys and Maddie would love the news. "We should call the doctor to make sure before we tell the kids." She nodded and I called the doctor. He arrived within the hour and confirmed my beautiful Mirabella was actually pregnant, then left. "Let's go tell the kids."

We walked down stairs and saw all our kids either on the couch or in the kitchen. "Kids can we talk to you?" Mirabella asked. They all nodded and walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.

"Your mother and I have something to tell you." I told them.

"I'm pregnant." Mirabella told them. Their faces all lit up.

"Really?!" "Congratulations!" "I cant wait!" Was heard around the room. All my kids got up and hugged her.

"What is it going to be?" Colton asked.

"We don't know yet" I responded.

"Cole you idiot, you know you can't tell the gender until like the third month." Sam replies sarcastically. Colton rolled his eyes.

We talked for a bit and everyone parted. I was walking through the hall and I saw Maddie drawing. I wanted to make sure she was okay with the new baby coming. I hope she didn't feel like we were trying to replace her.

"Hey Maddie," I said walking into her room.

"Hey dad." She responded. "What's up."

"Can we talk for a second?" She nodded and I sat down on her bed. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay with the new baby coming. I don't want you to think we're trying to replace you or anything."

"I know dad. And I'm okay." I was relived to hear that. "Plus I'm exited, have a little baby running around."

"You are?" She nodded. "What do you think it's going to be?"

"Well given the fact I have seven brothers, statistically it's probably going to be a boy." She responded. "It would be fun to have another girl around the house but I'm happy either way." She smiled.

I received a text, it was about the Mafia. "sorry Principessa, but I have some business I need to attend to." I got up and kissed her on the forehead and left the room.
