Maddie POV:
I walked into Wesley's bedroom as we were about to leave, to see Liam helping Wesley tie his tie. I stood in the door frame smiling. Liam wasn't expected to become the most helpful of our kids although he was the oldest, but he has really stepped into his big brother roll. Once Liam finished tying Wesley's tie I said "All set?"

They nodded and walked downstairs towards the car. We got into the G-Wagon and drove to Francesca's. When getting out of the car we were attacked with hugs by Elena and I's family.

"Look at my beautiful grand babies!" Sophia exclaimed. "When will I be getting some more?" She asked Mateo and Max who looked a bit scared at the thought.

We went and sat down. We ordered and soon after, our food arrived.

"Mom, can I go to the bathroom?" Liam asked. I nodded, and he walked off towards the restroom. While he was in the restroom we continued our talking and spending time together until a loud crash was heard.

We all quickly turned our heads to the sound. The restaurant's window broke. Soon after all the windows were broken and bangs were being heard.

Gunshots

"EVERYONE GET DOWN!" My father screamed.

Elena and I pulled Wesley, Dylan, and Layne under the table. "Stay here! Don't move! Elena stay with them!" I yelled over the gunshots.

"Baby you can't—" Elena started but I wasn't going to listen I was going to help defend my family. I crawled out from under the table and army crawled to Colton.

"Give me your extra." I told him referring to the extra gun he always carried around his ankle.

"Maddie no it's too dangerous, go back with Elena!"

"Colton! Liam's in the bathroom I need to get to him!" I yelled. Colton looked shocked. He quickly handed me his extra gun. I crouched down to avoid the gunshots being sent on both ends and started crawling to the bathroom. I was making my way towards the restroom, which was far away from our private pavilion table, when the shooting stopped as tires squealed. The shooters drove off.

Once I was sure it was safe I stood up, as well as the rest of my family. "IS EVERYONE OKAY?" My father asked.

"I'm fine," "me too" "I'm good" was heard from my family. I replied and went to look for Liam.

"Liam! Liam baby it's okay you can come out now!" I yelled, which grabbed the attention of my family. My nerves were calm for a millisecond when I saw Liam walk out from behind a vase.

"Mom!" Liam said nervously. That's when I noticed it. A red stain on his suit on the shoulder.

"Liam!" I screamed. Before I could run to him he collapsed on the floor. "LIAM!" I sprinted to him. Layne quickly got up and ran to him as well. I crouched down beside him. "Liam baby! You got to stay away okay?" I told him a softly but full of panic. "SOMEONE CALL A AMBULANCE!!!!!" I screamed.

"Liam!" Layne sobbed from beside me.

Elena came running towards us also. "Liam! Liam you're going to be fine! Just stay awake!"

Within a minute my family was standing around us, my son in the middle, bleeding from a bullet hole. "The ambulance will be here any minute!" Sam said holding my left shoulder. I was doing my best to hold a towel to stop the bleeding. God please don't let my son die today.

Soon enough the paramedics came rushing in. They said they needed space to work so they made everyone back up. However they allowed me to hold my sons hand. Elena was holding and comforting our now sobbing daughter.
