Walking into the rehearsal room, you could feel the awkward tension, hell you could smell it and Max and Amelia had no idea what it was about. Amelia's mind raced to the worst place imaginable; they hated her, they hated her but loved Max, they thought that she was the worst dancer they'd ever seen, were just a few of the thoughts that zoomed in her head and she felt her breath quicken and knew if someone didn't say something she might burst. So her knight in shining armour came to save her.

Well, dancer in shining tin foil?

Okay, it was Max in his (not shining) dance wear, but same difference.

"Hi I'm Max, and this is my best friend Amelia," he started, pointing to his side where Amelia wore an amused yet relived face

"Hi I'm Max, and this is my best friend Amelia," he started, pointing to his side where Amelia wore an amused yet relived face. He was always better in social situations, "and we are so excited to dance with you guys!" Amelia began praying to every god imaginable that they wouldn't ask her any question, but kids were curious creatures.

"Does she like, not speak or something? 'Cause you seem to do an awful lot of talking for her." Was the first thing out of Gianina's, Gia to her friends, mouth. Well that and a fake laugh as soon as Brady nudged her for being rude. All that tension that Max had seemingly defused, came back, tenfold.

Gia didn't think she was a mean person, she preferred protective, but to some the way she carried herself was incredibly intimidating and standoffish, and she wasn't mad that people thought of her this way

Gia didn't think she was a mean person, she preferred protective, but to some the way she carried herself was incredibly intimidating and standoffish, and she wasn't mad that people thought of her this way. Gia was a 'take me or leave me' kind of person, meaning you loved her or hated her and she was fine either way, but cross her? Lord have mercy!

"What Gia meant is, well, she meant," to be honest Brady didn't know what the heck Gia meant, but Abby liked the two new kids, they were fantastic dancers and he kind of thought Amelia was a tiny, little, minuscule bit cute, (but that's not really important). So he he stuttered and muttered and thought until he had a coherent idea to give to the two teens who staring at him. "She meant that we don't really know either of you, but we realised that you seem to talk a bit more than her." To say Max talked a bit more than Amelia was an understatement. They had heard her talk twice, once in her introduction and the other was to make sure that she wasn't too heavy to lift, (she wasn't). So they honestly didn't know whether she really talked or not.

As Max went to answer, Amelia interrupted, "I do talk, I just thought you guys wouldn't want me to," which was a true statement

As Max went to answer, Amelia interrupted, "I do talk, I just thought you guys wouldn't want me to," which was a true statement. At the last place she and Max had danced, they had a policy to not talk during class, but even if they were allowed to the other girls wouldn't want to hear her voice. She thought that these guys would be similar, use her as a dancer, but not care about her personally.

This statement caused a wide range of reactions from Pressley' shocked face, Brady' sympathetic smile to Gianina rolling her eyes. Just as Sarah went to question this, Abby rolled into the room like she owned it (which she did) and starting telling them that they should be warm enough to start dancing. She yelled for everyone to get into their starting positions, with Brady dancing first, they were rushed out of their conversation.

A few thing happened in that moment, Max had grabbed Hannah's wrist because she wasn't moving and he failed to notice the blush that arose on her cheeks (Amelia and Gia sure as hell didn't), Gia was glaring at the back of Amelia's head thinking ...

A few thing happened in that moment, Max had grabbed Hannah's wrist because she wasn't moving and he failed to notice the blush that arose on her cheeks (Amelia and Gia sure as hell didn't), Gia was glaring at the back of Amelia's head thinking she should of had the lead and Abby saw Sarah and Pressley whispering about what the new girl had just told them (which they were yelled at for). But they all knew one thing:

the Abby Lee Dance Company would never be the same.

Max to Gia whenever she's rude to Amelia:

Hey guys! So I lied, another trashy filler chapter, but I swear next chapter will be centered around dance and after that possibly the competition

Hey guys! So I lied, another trashy filler chapter, but I swear next chapter will be centered around dance and after that possibly the competition. Usually it won't take so long to get to the dancing and competitions, I just wanted to sort of show the kids initial reactions to having new comers, so yeah! I also smell a crush on the horizon, but I don't know if I wanna include romance in this book because, literal teens and children but maybe. Comment if you do want a bit of romance and who between.
