You ever seen those commercials where people screw up the simplest of tasks in the most idiotic fashion ever? Yeah, that's basically what happened here. My idiotic brother tried to warm up our burritos and he left the foil on them so now our kitchen is almost on fire.

"Alec, you dumbass! How did you forget to take off the foil? I swear to God I will murder you!" I yell while trying to stop the small fire that's growing. Once I stop it I turn to face my brother. Seeing my look his face pales.

"Sis-" He starts.

"One."

"Yeah I'm just going to go." He points to the stairs and takes off. I run after him, fully ready to smack him with the nearest object. He runs into his room and tries to shut the door but I get to him before he can. CiCi, our German Shepard, barks and follows us.

"Please don't." He put's up his hands to shield himself from the pillow I'm hitting him with.

"You incompetent monkey!" I shout. The door to his room opens and my dad sticks his head in and sighs heavily.

"Hermosa. How many times have I told you not to pummel your brother." He says grabbing the pillow from me.

"Papá, you know I'm going to do it any way. It's Alec." I say with my hands on my hips.

"Well can you try not to? I don't want to have any trips to the hospital. Again." He shakes his head and then leaves the room again.

"You knocked down my favorite poster!" Alec points an accusatory finger at me.

"I did not." I say, offended

"Yes you did, you inconsiderate cow." He lunges at me. I squeal and dart to the left, effectively making him fall to the ground.

"You little shit." He groans. I laugh at him until he starts getting up. I make a run for it, sliding down the stairs railing.

"No derribé tu póster, cerdo idiota" I shouted, running past my dad who was cooking us dinner.

"Te vi hacerlo, pequeña mentira." He finally catches up to me, grabbing my sides and tickling me.

"Si no me sueltas, te romperé los nudillos." I say between my laughter. Alec instantly let's me go knowing I will in fact break his knuckles. Dad heavily sighs before calling out that dinners ready. Me, Alec, Rowen, and Jonas, my other siblings, all scurry to the table where CiCi's already under the table waiting.

"So my lovely family, how is everyone's day been?" Alec asks, a cheeky grin on his face.

"I, for one, have had and annoying mocoso up my ass all day." I scowl at Alec.

"Language." Dad scolds, still slightly amused.

"Let's hang out and leave the nincompoops here, eh?" I whisper to Rowen who giggles and nods. We finish eating and I turn to the giants in my family.

"Alright you overgrown toads and papá, me and Rowen are leaving and we'll be back in like a half hour. Don't wait up." I grab Rowen's hand and head out the door. We walk to Cherry, my big black pick-up truck, and drive to the grocery store.

"Girl's night?" She asks, walking through the automatic doors.

"Girl's night." I confirm. Some people give me weird looks because of my visible tattoos as we walk to the candy aisle. I don't have that many tattoos, just my mom's name by my collarbone, the angel wings on my upper right arm, a small heart on my left ribs, the words 'love me for me' on my lower left arm, a rose on the back of my upper left arm, and a paper airplane on my right ankle. We start looking for candy and I see a guy that looks my age with blond hair and a girl no older than eight with light brown hair. They must be new, I haven't seen them before. Rowen goes to reach for the M&M's but I smack her hand and glare at her.

"No, bufón, tenemos que conseguir los bolos." I can't believe she did that. I mean, M&M's? Really?

"No, M&M's. No quiero bolos." She glares right back. Stubborn little shit. She finally breaks.

"Fine, we'll get the freaking skittles." I grin in satisfaction. I notice the blond dude staring at us and I raise an eyebrow.

"You need something?" I ask him, my voice showing my irritation. I don't like people staring at me. He grins.

"Yes actually, we just moved here and we don't exactly know the way around here. So we were wondering if you'd be willing to help show us around?" He asks scratching the back of his neck.

"Yeah, no." He deflates at my words. I turn and walk away, leaving his standing there. I don't really like anyone except my family, Wyatt, Ava, and Alden. Even those nitwits are sometimes too much. I don't want anybody to think I've gone soft and start talking to me. They're annoying and it makes me guilty in a way.

"You got all the ice cream?" I ask Rowen.

"Yep." She chirps. We pay and walk out of the store.

"I'm home mis adorables gigantes." I yell before walking into the living room and pushing Alec off the couch.

"Bitch." He grumbles. I kick his knee, making him fall.

"Next time just walk away dude." Jonas tells him walking into the living room. He sits on the couch and I get up to usher him off of it.

"Nope. Up. Up. Up. Me and Rowen are going to have the TV and if you say anything I will make sure you don't live to see fourteen." After my threat he shuts his mouth. Me and Rowen settle down with Scooby Doo when the door opens.

"What's up my beautiful bunch of rusty screws." Alden, my best friend, bursts in.

"Miss me that much?" I smirk. He saw me earlier.

"Nope." He replies, walking over kissing both mine and Rowen's foreheads, then flopping over both of our laps, I groan and readjust so I'm comfortable.

"Nope. Nu-uh. Not fair." Alec and Jonas walk into the room shaking their heads. They both plop down on the other couch, taking some of the food.

"If he can join in," He points to Alden, "then we can too." I sigh, knowing I'm not getting out of this one. We all sit contently watching the movie until I get hungry.

"Papá!" I yell, startling everyone.

"Yes, Hermosa?" He asks, coming into the room.

"Please tell Alec to make me a sandwich. He won't do it and I'm hungry. Plus, I have a large doofus laying one me." I gesture to Alden who glares at me.

"Alec, make your sister a sandwich." Dad tells Alec.

"But dad-" Alec starts to protest.

"Alec, just do it." Dad uses that tone. I grin triumphantly when Alec get's up grumbling things under his breath and glares at me. Once I get my sandwich I sigh contently and laugh along with my family. I love these idiots.
