A wave of nervousness crashed over me and I started feeling sick to my stomach. I started pulling on the sleeves of my grey sweater when the limo stopped for us to get out. Jaxton noticed the nervous twitch and pulled me into his side. He walked up to the gate and flashed his wolf’s eyes at the two guards.

They nodded to us and pressed a few buttons on a keypad to open the large gate. The guards were the same height, but one had raven black hair and the other had dark red hair. Jaxton walked through the gate with me cuddled against his side, he kept his strong arm wrapped around my waist.

I stopped pulling at my sleeve, but kept my hands hidden inside them. The male with the raven hair followed us inside the gate and the red haired wolf locked it behind us. We got into a golf cart and the raven haired male started driving up the hill.

It took only a few minutes before we arrived at Jaxton’s house. It looked like it was a two story stone house. His place was twice the size of my house and I couldn’t help, but wonder if it got lonely for him.

We got out of the golf cart and moved towards the stone house. The fall air was giving me goosebumps and I hoped that inside would be warmer. Jaxton unlocked the door using a keypad. Wow this pack is pretty big on using electronics.

He opened the door wide for me and I walked inside the huge space. The house had high ceilings and an open floor plan. There was a place to take off your shoes and after that I could see a roomy kitchen. Jaxton and I took off our shoes and were left in our socks. His were a boring solid black and mine had hamburgers and fries on them.

He led me into his home and started giving me a tour. He first showed off the kitchen proud of the gas stove and solid granite counters. He next pointed out the laundry room, then the living room with a huge TV and an xbox.

Below the TV was a gas fireplace and I had to stop myself from asking him to turn it on, I was still cold from outside and the house was even colder. I wanted to curl up on the comfy looking couch, it was black and next to it was a matching armchair.

Next he showed me upstairs three bedrooms and two bathrooms took up the floor. The master bedroom had floor to ceiling tinted windows and my eyes went wide in appreciation. He had a massive california king with a dark blue fluffy comforter and matching pillows.

All throughout the house were the same light gray stones that made up the outside. It was beautiful… It was going to be my new home.

Jaxton showed me his bathroom, the same granite that was on the kitchen counters had been repeated on the bathroom sink. I peered into the standing shower and smiled when I saw not one, not two, but three shower heads. One was overhead like a waterfall and the other two on either side of the large one in the middle.

He showed me to the other two bedrooms before showing me the other bathroom. This was another standing shower with only one shower head. It was a replica of the one in Jaxton’s bathroom. Jaxton let me pick one of the rooms to have as my own and handed me a charger for my phone.

I chose the room closest to the bathroom. It had a desk by one of the large windows that faced the pack house. The bed had a forest green comforter and matching pillows. Leaf patterns were stitched into the fabric on the queen sized bed.

I ran my fingers over the soft fabric and wanted to fall onto it, instead I turned to where Jaxton had laid out for me and headed into the bathroom. Jaxton followed me in and gave me his apple scented shampoo and conditioner. I thanked him and when I was closing the door I saw him pulling out his phone to make a call.

I was about to take off my sweater before I remembered the bandage below it. I walked back out of the bathroom catching Jaxton before he could walk into his room. I tapped him gently on the shoulder not wanting to interrupt his phone call.
