"HURRY HURRY!" Colt yelled out as he took off running out of the car.

"Colt!" Virgil groaned as several familiar faces of all the men, women, and Enbies he's seen every day for the past two weeks now. "Colt, you can't just run off."

"Roman's waiting!" Colt giggled as he passed by all the people until he slid knocking excitedly on the door. The second it opened Colt slammed himself into Roman hugging him tightly with a happy laugh taking the oldest a bit by surprise.

"Colt." Virgil laughed as he shook his head seeing the shock in Roman's eyes. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be." Roman ruffled the little one's hair as smiled. "It was a pleasant surprise."

"Roman!" Colt giggled as he pulled away with the brightest smile ever. Virgil melted at the sight.

"I think he likes you." Roman nodded with a fond expression as he moved aside to let the two in.

"I'm glad." Roman chuckled as swiftly led them to the couch. His place wasn't huge but it was enough for him... well for what he needed any way. Colt jumped up onto the couch with an excited look as Roman passed a movie over to Virgil to put in. Since Colt's reveal that he's never seen a Disney move Roman made it his mission to have him watch every single one. Today, Roman had the princes and the frog. Virgil couldn't help but laugh.

"Really?" Roman nodded as he fumbled about his closet. "Roman, come on. The princess and the frog? Do you have any idea the mess-..."

"Nope. Nope. Nope. We are NOT doing this again. Not with the kid. Just put it in, Dr. Facil-fear." Virgil rolled his eyes as he did what he was told. Roman cried out with joy as he jumped and suddenly held something behind his back so no one could see.

"Princey?" Virgil frowned as he narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the man who just giggled and smiled. "What are you hiding?"

"Well, I uh... You know how at the house, I would usually make the pillows." Virgil nodded as Roman shifted from one foot to the other. "Well that's because Remus would always make the bear, but... We BOTH knew how to make them." Virgil just shot him a look the clearly said get on with it making Roman laugh some more. He moved his hands in front of him to reveal a black and white hand sewn teddy bear and Virgil's face just dropped in shock. "Colt said he didn't have any toys."

"THAT'S FOR ME?!" Roman nodded as Colt ran and grabbed it, squeezing it tightly as he squeeled. Virgil's eyes only darkened at the sight.

"Roman..."

"I know. I should have asked but.. It's just... Virgil, he's a young boy. He needs something to play with. Something he can use to help him feel safe. He needs something that isn't a pillow." Virgil flinched making Roman sigh and take a deep breath to try a calm down. "I'm sorry, I didn't ask. I just... I thought Colt deserved it."

"Thank you. Thank you." Colt yelled as he hugged his bear tight as can be. Virgil couldn't help but smile.

"Ok. Ok... Just... You make sure you take care of that ok?" Colt nodded frantically as he set himself back up onto the couch clutching his bear like a vice. "And your father does not find it..."

"I know. Just like the book..." Virgil nodded which only made Roman that much more concerned. The man quickly played the movie before dragging Virgil away to talk to him. "Ro?"

"Virgil..."

"Roman, please don't." Roman frowned as Virgil just shook his head and held his arms close to him protectively. "I told you I don't want to talk about it."

"Virgil, I can't just ignore this. No books... no toys... no movies... Plus you said he was homeschooled which means no friends or socialization. Don't you see how... concerning that is? It's a giant red flag."

"I do NOT neglect my son." Roman was quick to intervene, taking his loves hands as he shook his head.

"That is not what I'm saying at all. I'm just... I've lived through it. You know I have. The abusive father... Neglectful mother, though it wasn't really her fault."

"Roman. I do not neglect my..."

"All I keep hearing is 'Father doesn't allow this. Father doesn't like that.' Virgil I'm an not saying you're to blame for anything." Virgil's eyes shot up as Roman smiled softly. "I'm simply expressing my concern. You let him keep the toy but told him his Father couldn't know. Why?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"I'm just worried about you, Stormfly. I'm sorry for upsetting you. I didn't mean to." Roman brushed Virgil's hair back with a soft smile as he gestured back to the couch. "Why don't we go and join him? We can talk about this later. Ok?"

"I don't neglect him." Roman frowned as Virgil stood there shaking. "I don't. I do everything I can for him. I raise him. I'm the only one that does anything..."

"Stormfly." Virgil jumped as his eyes met with Roman's soft gaze. "I know. I was concerned about your husband... not you. You forget, Stormy... I know you. I was engaged to you. There's no way in hell I'd ever think you could negect your son."

"I don't."

"I know that." Virgil let out a shakey breath as Roman gently pulled him towards the couch. "Hey... maybe we can set up a night where you two can stay here." Virgil's eyes widened as Roman just smiled. "It's just... You're here every day. So... Why not just stay the night? Just once. We can have a movie marathon like the old days."

"Ro..."

"You don't have to. I was just thinking... It might be nice. Just having you two here. I could make dinner. Give you a bit of a break..."

"Roman..."

"Forget it. It's fine." Roman laughed awkwardly as he started for the couch. "It would be a bit awkward now that I think about it. I mean... Yes were friends but you and Colt staying over might be...

"Roman!" Virgil just laughed as Roman jumped in surprised. "I think it'd be a great idea. Colt's never had a sleepover before. It would be a nice experience." Roman's eyes completely lit up as Virgil smiled softly. "We can talk about it in the future. I think it might be nice."
