Chapter 8

I'm going over to Colby's parents house for dinner tonight, he wants me to meet his parents since he's met mine. I'm nervous as all hell! He told me his grandparents, sister, and brother will be there as well which makes me even more nervous. I hope they like me! Colby was waiting in my living room for me to finish getting ready, my nerves are so bad i feel like i'm going to throw up. Well, i already know his grandma and grandpa like me, they will be happy to see me. That's a good start, right?

I got dressed in my white lacey spaghetti strap dress that came down to my knees, and my nude heels. I straightened my hair, and put on a natural make up look. I sighed heavily and looked at myself in the mirror, is this good enough? Is it too much?

"Babe! How much longer? We're going to be late!" Colby called from the other room.

"I'm coming, i'm coming!" I called back.

"Not yet, but you will be tonight!" I could hear the smirk in his voice and i rolled my eyes. He's such a pervert.

"We'll talk about that later, if i survive this dinner.."

"Babe, they are going to love you! I promise." He came into the room and pulled me into him, kissing my temple. I closed my eyes and leaned into him letting him comfort me. I hope he's right!

"Let's go before we're late." We walked out of my apartment, locking it up behind me and went down to his car. I was fidgeting and wringing my hands nervously in my lap the whole way there. When we pulled into the driveway he reached over and grabbed my hand bringing it to his lips, kissing my knuckles gently.

"It's gonna be fine, there's no reason to be nervous." He assured me.

"Okay, let's get in there..." We got out of the car and walked up to the door hand in hand. He just walked in because they were expecting us, and he lead me towards all the voices. My heart was pounding in my chest.

"Mom, dad, we're here!" He called out, walking into the living room, pulling me behind him. Then he stopped and i felt his hand tighten around mine to the point it kind of hurt and i flinched.

"What the hell is she doing here?!" I walked up beside Colby and looked over at him and then saW that he looked beyond pissed off. I looked around the room at all the people, wondering who pissed him off that much.

"She stopped by, said she missed you and wanted to talk to you. I thought you guys would have some unsaid things you'd want to discuss, so i told her you'd be here tonight for dinner." I looked over at the middle aged woman who was speaking. She must be his mother, he resembles her some.

"No, everything came in loud and clear when she left me standing alone at the altar wondering what happened.." He spat out angrily. Oh fuck....his ex fiance is here....what the actual hell?!

"Besides, you knew i was bringing my girlfriend over for dinner tonight. Why the hell would you do this? You know i'm over her, and i'm happy in my relationship!" Colby was practically seething. I've never seen him so angry before. Not that i blame him! I'd probably be beyond pissed too if my mother brought the woman who left me at the altar into their house to corner me..

"It's just dinner, Colby. If you're so secure in your relationship it shouldn't be a big deal then, huh?" His ex fiance said with a smirk on her face. Okay, i just really want to slap the shit out of this girl. I don't know if it's because of the tone in her voice, the way she's turning her nose up at me, or what she did to Colby...either way she's about to get bitch slapped..I'm still completely confused as to how she could leave such an amazing man like Colby standing there waiting for her.
